Mackie Enjoys Good life

Mackie has been known as the "mama's boy" since he was a baby; one of his favorite things was to sleep on mama Betty's lap.

He had a wonderful show career and appeared on this blog often, see:

http://ncag.blogspot.com/search?q=mackie

Five months ago Mackie was adopted by Gina as her only indoor rabbit.

Mackie enjoys his life as the only "mama's boy" with Gina.    When Gina knits, Mackie sleeps on her lap.

Gina is afraid that Mackie would be lonely so she brings home two little French boys.

Mackie checks out his new friends.

Mackie is a generous soul, he loves his little companions Jasper and Boy,  they all share food together.

Mackie, Jasper and Boy all hang out together.

Mackie Gets His Hair Cut

Betty's handsome English Angora buck Chu's Mackie has appeared on this blog many times including but not limited to a post about his growing up:

At his prime he went to the ARBA convention at Fort Worth, Texas.

Betty grooming Mackie at the ARBA convention at Fort Worth, Texas.

At the convention, judge Deb Vecchio awards BOSB to Mackie.

No matter how handsome Mackie is, it's time for him to get a hair cut.

Mackie's back is exposed, doesn't it look like a pineapple?

Mackie wonders what's going on; "Mom, what are you doing to my beautiful coat?"

Mackie and his "woolfall".

Is there a doe underneath?

Who is This? Mackie again?

Mackie had a hair cut not too long ago, sure he could not be
carrying a coat like this.     Who is it?
He looks like Mackie but this is Mackie's younger half
brother Chuckie Cheese.

Chuckie Cheese is the winner of the colored junior buck class
at the ARBA convention at Fort Worth while older brother Mackie is
the winner of the colored senior buck class.   Brother Mackie
went on to win the Best Opposite Sex of breed.

Chuckie Cheese is following big brother Mackie's footstep to be a handsome buck
and the usual winner of the Best Opposite Sex of breed in shows.

Both Mackie and Chuckie Cheese look like their daddy Kenneth
who is an all breed Best In Show winner,
see http://ncag.blogspot.com/2014/01/kenneth-wins-all-breed-best-in-show-at.html
Like father like son, all three bucks look alike and all are very handsome.

Betty is using a comb to smoothen out the surface of the wool, it is the final touch before Mackie is to be taken to the judging table.

It's almost done, Mackie now has a finished look.

Mama's lap is even better.

Boys Just Want to Have Fun

Mackie in his show glory days: he won the BOSB in the 2014 ARBA convention at Fort Worth, Texas.  Including the winning at the convention, Mackie has 30 legs when he retired from showing.

Mackie is a great show rabbit but unfortunately he is not a good breeder.   He craves attention so the best thing is matching him with a great mom: Gina.

To give Mackie companions, Gina later adopted two French Angora baby bucks.

The three boys are best friends.

One of the French Angora buck is wearing a sweater after a hair cut.

Mackie still gets to be an indoor rabbit when not playing with his French Angora friends.

All three boys enjoy sleeping together out on the deck during the day.  Who says bucks fight?  These boys are not neutered but they get along just great.

Mackie Gets Ready as seen by Carolyn

Carolyn loves Angora rabbits and owns two English and one French as indoor house pets.   In the above photo is Carolyn with Betty and little girl Angeline.    Carolyn does not show but likes to visit her friends in shows and to take pictures.

Carolyn sees people in the rabbit show from a different angle, she likes to take pictures of Angora people chatting, loving their animals and getting them ready for the show table.   Here is a photo take by Carolyn when Betty is getting Mackie ready to be presented on the show table.

Mackie looks "explosive"!
