Big Mike Remembered

It is very sad to have received the news that Mike Morris passed away on Wednesday morning of a massive heart attack. Mike and Dolores along with Rita, Larry, Ray and others are the back bone of Big Valley RA that put on the biggest and best shows in No. CA. Mike was the able superintendent who managed the show efficiently with 18+ judges and 3000+ rabbits flowing across the judging tables. The show always completed before 5 pm. He was so good at the job that he was asked to be one of the superintendents of the ARBA convention in San Diego.

Mike was a big guy with a big smile. We will all miss him very much.

Mike and Dolores received their first Best In Show with their Satin in 2006. Best In Show judges were Chris Z. and Susan C. with Carol G. being the apprentice judge at the time.

Siana And Casey Love Animals

Both Casey and Siana show English Angora and the common place to see them is in a rabbit show. Last Sunday in Santa Clara, English Angora was no where to be found. Siana brought with her two Angora goats that she was bottle feeding and Casey was showing Raider the Basset Hound in a dog show.

Animal lovers love animals, whether they are rabbits, goats or dogs.

Year Of The Rabbit New Year Parade

San Francisco Chinatown held the New Year Parade on Sunday, February 20, 2011.

Rabbit is a main character in the parade.

Miss San Francisco Chinatown is very pretty.

At the end of the parade, the "Lions" climbed the poles to reveal the scroll showing"Happy New Year" in the middle and "Congratulations to the Year of Rabbit" on the right.

Found on the Internet is a poster of Seattle Chinatown celebration on January 29, way earlier than the celebration in San Francisco Chinatown.
