Show B French Angora and Satin Angora Judging at Portola Valley






NCAG specialty show B judge is Josh Humphries of TN, Josh is the president of American Rabbit Breeders Association.  On the table are the 3 French Angora senior does.   Watching Josh's judging are Larissa and Carolyn, both are fairly new in French Angora.

Four of the five colored junior does are in the coop waiting to be judged.   Larissa, Carolyn and Casey chat.




Judge Josh likes the chocolate junior doe, Joyce waiting for his comments.



The chocolate agouti on the left is the first place senior doe and the chocolate on the right is first place junior doe.  Watching are Carol, Richard, Larissa and Carolyn.



The front ends of the first place colored senior doe and colored junior doe.  And the BOB winner is the senior doe.



The Satin Angora are on the table, there are 5 white and 3 colored, Joyce working at the table with Josh.

Show A Satin Angora Judging and BISS at Portola Valley







Judge Melissa is very impressed with the 8 Satin Angora on the table.    Joyce is especially interested as she is the on the COD team that is present the broken Satin Angora.   Casey watches.

After judge Melissa completed Satin Angora judging, the BOB English Angora and BOB French Angora are returning to the table to compete with the BOB Satin Angora for the specialty Best In Show.    The French Angora doe sniffs the prize, shows that she wants to own it.



The French Angora doe sure has ESP, judge Melissa awards the specialty Best In Show to her.  Mama Carol is very pleased.

Show A French Angora Judging at Portola Valley




Judge Melissa starts to work on the French Angora.  On the table being checked is a chocolate agouti buck.

This is a more matured junior French Angora.



There are 3 senior does competing in the class.

Show A English Angora Judging at Portola Valley




The day starts as beautiful as this flower next to the swimming pool.



Judge Melissa starts with English Angora in the NCAG specialty show A.   In the background we can see the beautiful plants and flowers.


Judge Melissa checks the underside of a tort senior buck.  In the right side there are some bags and items, these are the raffle items.



The senior bucks on the table are quite young, just made the class.    The next table is judge Josh from TN.


Joyce writes for judge Melissa.  Joyce flew in from CO to help the show, she does not have any rabbit with her.  Joyce is a registrar and also the district director of NARBC.   



On the table is a very young black junior doe.



The English Angora BOB winner is Betty's colored senior doe Chu's Frieda.

American Fuzzy Lop and Mini Satin Top Winners at Portola Valley





California Rabbit and Cavy Shows sponsors a single all breed show at Portola Valley on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
Judge Kellyjo from Colorado judges the show with Masako from Japan as the "judge's assist".   The Best In Show goes to Carol's American Fuzzy Lop and Reserve In Show goes to Melissa's Mini Satin.   

There are double specialty shows for Angora, American Fuzzy Lop, Jersey Wooly and Lionhead.   Angora results to follow.
