My sister-in-law Bon Yu and hubby J H came to visit. Mary Jane had a great time playing up for attentions.

Alice In Winter Wonderland

At the Great America Park in Santa Clara, CA, there were lots of lanterns on display during the holiday time from Christmas to New Year. The program was named "Winter Wonderland".

Alice and family went and took quite a few photos. She is sharing some of the photos with us.

Alice Goes To Las Vegas

Betty and Alice have been the best of friends since high school and that's a zillion years ago.

Alice came over to spend the holiday with her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, they went to Las Vegas.

All that glitters in Las Vegas ....

... is not gold but sure shows festivity.

It wouldn't be Las Vegas if there aren't some performers on stage.

Winter Time Is Spinning Time And Knitting Time

Betty says,

There is a long break of shows during the holiday time. For us California residents, it's not common to have a 5-week period without a show. Even though it's holiday time, it still leaves me a lot of time to spin and knit. Here are some of the skeins of natual and dyed yarns that I spun recently plus two new scarves.

In less than two weeks we'll be back to shows.

Siana Enjoys Being A Young Farmer

Siana lives along the Monterey Bay with her parents Ryan and Jill.

Siana loves the county fair, she has a Brown Swiss Cow and Angora goats that produce mohair.

Siana and Brown Swiss Cow win lots of champion prizes while the Italian Maremma congratulates Idabelle.

Siana loves to read, and also tries her hand with bull fighting.

Siana and parents travel to various shows.

Siana has chickens and turkeys, and a pheasant too.

Siana is a youth member of Northern California Angora Guild. She showed rabbits frequently but in 2011 she took a break from rabbits and involved in other farm animals. Ryan and Jill moved from city living to countryside for Siana to experience the joy of land and farming.

Siana's Dairy Cow Project

Siana is a youth member of Northern California Angora Guild. She has a fawn English Angora buck that she loves. She is taking a little time off from rabbits and doing other animal projects. She made a very creative Christmas album as a greeting card for her friends. We will share that album tomorrow. Today we'll share some photos taken in September when Siana and parents Ryan and Jill cared for Siana's Brown Swiss dairy cow Idabelle during the Monterey Fair.
