Another white French.

Judge Alan reads the ear tattoo to place.

Judge Allen looks at the chestnut buck.

Dinah and Allison listens to the comments on their chestnut buck.

On the table is the chocolate agouti senior buck that eventually won the BOSB.

The last rabbit on the table is the opal junior doe, the only junior in the breed.  Guess what, she is so impressive that she won over all the big boys and big girls and won BOB.

Here are the five class winners being considered for BOB and BOSB: white senior buck, white senior doe, colored senior buck, colored senior doe and colored junior doe.  At the end, the BOB is the colored junior doe on the far left, the BOSB winner is the colored senior buck in the middle.   Nate and Lisa taking pictures, and the officer is doing the same.

Show A English Angora Judging at Dixon

A table full of English Angora waiting for the judge.

Show A judge is Alan Rafferty who is looking at the English Angora white senior buck.

Checking nails.  For white variety, the checking is more on whether there are any nails missing or deformed, all nails on white are white.   On colored rabbits there are chances of mismatched colors of which is a disqualification.

Judge Allen looking at an English Angora colored senior buck.

Some rabbits have the comment cards on the top of their coops.  Such indicates that the rabbit is ready to go back as it did not win the class.

Cavy judge Julie is interested in becoming a rabbit registrar, she comes to observe and steps in to help clerking.

Cavy judge Julie takes down the comments from rabbit judge Alan.

While the judging is going on, two law enforcement officers come by to the showroom, they are fascinated by the English Angora.   Earlier there were a few PETA people came inside the showroom to protest, it is possible that the sheriff department got involved.  It is lawful to protest outside the building but not lawful to go inside the building to disrupt the venue.

Stephanie B. on the right is the owner of the chinchilla English Angora.  A good photo op for her and the officers.

Showroom Scenes at Dixon

Solano Rabbit Breeders Association holds the first show date of 2022 on January 8 at Dixon, CA.

Here is the wool corner that is next to the outdoor area for grooming.    The blue tapes on the floor showing that no rabbits to be set up there.   This area is reserved for youth contest and photo booth activities.

Happy exhibitors in a very nice building with smooth floor and beautiful ceilings.

Another view of the wool corner.   Kids are also having a great time.

This view is from the opposite side of the building.  The doors on all four sides of the showroom remained open to have fresh air circulation.   It was a bit cold in the early morning but started to warm up in the late morning until dark when the show ended.

The club is very considerate, there is a photo booth for those who won BOB or just wish to celebrate New Year to take pictures.
