Betty on Steve Harvey TV Show

It's official, the segment of Betty's English Angora will be airing on the Steve Harvey TV show early next week.

Betty along with Ida and Franchesca were invited to fly to Chicago to tape a segment on a TV show.  Before the air time was known, Betty was not able to reveal the program.   Now she is able to say, "It's the Steve Harvey Show and I had a great time".

The exact day and time will be announced on Monday.   It's not a long segment but it's a lot of fun.

Updated on Monday, April 21:

The segment will air on Tuesday, April 22.    In the San Francisco Bay Area, the show airs between 2 pm to 3 pm on NBC Channel 11.   My segment should be toward the end of the show around 2:50 pm, give and take a couple of minutes.

Alicia's French Angora Wins Four Class

Alicia and mom Deb drove to Iowa for a weekend of rabbit show.   In the first show of the Cedar Rapids RBA all breed show, Alicia's doe 7-Pines Jamille took Best 4-Class.  Jamille's sister that BIS two weeks ago but this time it's Jamille's turn to shine.    The photo above is Alicia with judge Mark F.

For those in the west coast who are not familiar with the term "Best 4-Class", it means the best lightweight rabbit, one of the two finalists for the Best In Show title.   The heavyweight winner is called the "Best 6-Class" because in addition to the four classes of senior buck, senior doe, junior buck, junior doe, there are intermediate buck and intermediate doe.   In lightweight rabbits, senior is defined as 6 months or older while in the heavyweight rabbits, senior is defined as 8 months or older.   The intermediate class is also called the 6/8 class as the age requirement is between 6 and 8 months old.

Two Hats with Unusual Color Combination

Beige is the base color added with grape and blue, the color of this hat is somewhat unusual.

The color of this hat, green as the base with red stripes, is definitely unusual.  Betty has made hundreds of hats, this is the first time these two colors are put together.   Why this combination?  It's a special order, the buyer specifies the colors.

Found in the Paper: Herd through the Grapevine

Saw this comic strip in the Sunday newspaper.   Yes, it's "Herd" not "Heard" through the grapevine.

The wool on the sheep are full of grape and vine after being herded through the grapevine in the strip; imagine these sheep as our beloved Angora rabbits, what would they look like after being herded through the grapevine?

Easter Bunny Time at Carol's

Carol's backyard is gorgeous, it's set up for an Easter Egg Hunt event for their friends.

Some of Carol's rabbits are in individual pens pretending to be Easter Bunnies.

Ben the French Angora is the most popular Easter Bunny.

What is it?

Hi, are you a bunny?
