Betty's Young Friends at the ARBA Convention in MA

At the Harrisburg convention in 2013, I met this pretty little girl...

Five years later at the MA convention, pretty little girl is now a pretty big girl.  She comes with her friends for a visit with me.

This pretty young lady has Holland Lop, English Angora and French Angora.   She tries her hand in showing one French Angora at the MA convention, guess what? Her gorgeous French Angora colored senior doe took the Best of Breed! Remember this name Morgan Oesterling of PA, she'll be a new star in the wonderful world of Angora.

Booths at the ARBA Convention in MA

There are booths selling cages and tags.

At one of the booth, one talented rabbit breeder is painting a Harlequin.

Nippon Rabbit Club has a booth at the ARBA convention every year.  Masako is the president of the club.

Silent auction at one of the booths.

Very pretty crochet work.

The Flemish Giant booth has the most impressive decoration.   The left is the Salem Witch Trials, the middle is the Boston Tea Party and the huge rabbit shows the statue of the Flemish Giant.

On the other table of the Flemish booth is the rabbit on a horse recreating the Paul Revere's Ride in 1775.  It's not a surprise that the Flemish Giant booth won the booth contest.

On display are the youth art competition entries.

This cowl receives the first place prize.  It's spun and knit by our youth member Madi Shaw.  Madi is not only good at her rabbit keeping and showing, she is also proficient in the fiber part of Angora raising.   She is a team member of the famous Blue Mountain Fiber Mills.

Various art projects by youth.

The art projects related to Cavies.

Carol and Betty Having a Meeting with the Founding Fathers in MA

Carol is having a meeting with the historical founding fathers of the US.  According to google, Historian Richard B. Morris in 1973 identified the following 7 figures as the key Founding Fathers: Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and George Washington.   There are exactly 7 figures in this display.

Betty follows Carol's lead in having a picture taken.      It's MA, it's New England, it's one of the "original" states.  One of the tourist attractions is the history.   There's this big cardboard cutout of the historical figures at the car rental building.   It's hard to resist having a picture taken there.
