Beautiful Maple Tree at Carol’s Front Yard

This flaming red maple tree is in Carol's front yard, it attract so much attention.

Pattee has a picture taken with this gorgeous tree before getting ready to return home.  She has a long drive but she has a great time.

Carolyn also has a picture with this pretty tree before going home as well.  Carolyn has a very successful show, got her first Best of Breed with the pretty broken doe that she bred.

It was a great day at Carol's.  Without Carol's help, this show would have been cancelled.   Most of the counties in California started COVID shutdown the following day after the show, this show sure gave us a great memory.   We hope for normalcy in 2021.

French Angoras Having a Date

Dinah comes to visit and pick up a French Angora.   Hi, how are you guy doing?

Betty's boy Lipton and Carol's white girl are having some fun; it's fun for sure, the doe is teaching the buck how to act.   Dinah and Carolyn are intrigued.

Carol joins the love birds.

This is how you do it, buck on top.

Success, Lipton falls off.

Fuzzy Lops Having Dates

Carol is very generous in helping newer breeders.  Both Carolyn and Pattee have gotten a few Fuzzy Lops from Carol.   Pattee brought her does to meet Carol's bucks for a rendezvous.

Carol goes into the pen to offer some supervision and help.

And trying on the grooming table.

The date out in the pen and on the grooming table is not too successful, so now the dating site is moved to the table.   Our porn director at work, success!

Handsome Aabel Does a Photo Shot

Handsome boy Aabel sits in front of colorful plants.  He has won all breed Best In Show, Reserve In Show, Second Reserve In Show and Specialty Best In Show.

A closer shot will be better.

An even closer shot.

It's not common for a buck to win over does in the wool breeds but Aabel is able to do so many times.  In addition, he is younger than all his cousins in the competition.

More conversation, question and answer.

More questions from Pattee.

Judge Carol reads ear tattoo to place.

The BOB English Angora goes to Betty's colored senior buck, also the specialty Best In Show.

French Angora Judging at Portola Valley

The French Angora texture is always the most interesting discussion.   Both Carolyn and Pattee are really interested in the subject.

French Angora judging view from the other side.

Judge Carol checking the underside.

That is a beautifully typed broken junior doe.

Judge Carol likes the broken junior doe, Carolyn takes picture from the other side, she is very happy.

Judge Carol awards the BOB to the broken junior doe.  A very happy Carolyn, it's her home grown baby and her first BOB.

Angora Specialty Show at Portola Valley

Northern California Angora Guild holds an Angora specialty show at Portola Valley on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

There was a show on Saturday?   Wasn’t the show cancelled according to social media?  Big Valley RA had a plan for double open and double youth shows at Merced.  Our NCAG specialty was supposed to be held in conjunction with the BVRA shows.   Unfortunately BVRA had to cancel their shows due to Merced being within 250 miles linear distance to the most recent RHD case in Kern County.    So what do we do?   We could cancel, but....

Judge Carol is generous and gracious, she allows the specialty show to be held at her beautiful backyard where is far from the 250 miles linear radius.   She takes out the equipment that are normally used for the summer shows and guess what, we have our show!!!

So many nice looking English Angora for judge Carol to pick from...

and the French Angora are pretty nice too.    More photos to come.
