GCCFA's First ARBA Sanctioned Triple Shows in China

Judge Kathi Groves was at the CRCS Petaluma show that we are currently reporting.  A few days after the show she hopped on a flight to China to judge the first ARBA sanctioned rabbit show sponsored by GCCFA.   We thank Kathi for the report and thank Alex Ong for letting us use his photos on his facebook.

In order to have ARBA sanctioned shows, the judges have to be licensed by ARBA, it's much harder for other countries to host ARBA sanctioned shows.    During the weekend of September 6-7, 2025, GCCFA sponsored their first triple ARBA sanctioned shows held at Chengdu in the Sichuan Province of China.

The person who made it possible is Alex Ong who is an ARBA licensed registrar.    He is also credited for forming a GCCFA which stands for "The Global Companion Animal Cultural Fanciers Association" that includes but not limited to rabbits.

Kathi Groves judges ARBA show A.

Masako Miyazaki judges ARBA show B.

Arie Wardhani judges ARBA show C.

Kathi examines a young Giant Angora, interpreter behind her.

Masako judges the two young Giant Angoras, one buck and one doe.  The doe wins over the buck.

Arie examines a Netherland Dwarf.

Arie judges the Netherland Dwarf with interpreter and table help.
The breeds entered in these shows are Netherland Dwarf, Holland Lop, Mini Rex and two young Giant Angoras.

The shows have beautiful prizes.

This is the show poster.  There are two other shows that are not ARBA sanctioned.

There are also fun classes such as the rabbit Costume Contest that was held on Sunday.
