Samuelson Back to Showing

Samuelson waiting to be groomed.

Samuelson thinks he’s ready to go back to showing after waiting months for his wool to grow back.

French Angoras are valued for having guard hairs, regrown coats are quite desirable for showing.

His coat is presentable, a bit more length would have been nice.

Here is Aurelia

Hi, I am Aurelia.

I am 8 months old now.  Mama Betty said I am Vianna's "understudy".   What is "understudy"?  I don't like to be "under" in anything.

May I be an "over"?

Mama Betty says that I am ready.   Meet me this weekend!

Vianna Gets her First Cut

Vianna still has a beautiful coat.

Vianna still would have been competitive, but Aurelia is waiting in the wing for quite a while.

The first cut is always the hardest.

After a few cuts, things just get flowing.

Vianna's wool is like peacock's tail.

Want a large Angora fleece blanket?

Little body big wool fleece.

The fleece is off Vianna's body, she needs a bit of clean up of short wool on her sides and tummy.

The fleece is in a extra large ziploc bag ready to offer for sale or to spin.  If anyone is interested, contact Betty.  The fleece is long, nice and clean.

Vianna Concludes First Coat Show Career

Vianna started her show career in August 2024 at 7 months old, winning BOB then advanced to Rerserve In Show immediately.

In mid September she won BOB and advanced to the Best In Show.

Toward the end of September, she won BOB then advanced to Best In Show again.

There was no show in our area in October and continued for over 6 weeks.  Vianna sat at home all dressed up but no place to go.

There was one show date in November and she won BOB again.   During this period she won 12 BOB out of the 14 shows during the 4 show weekends that she entered, advanced to 2 Best In Show and 1 Reserve In Show.   Wish there were more shows but this is a very good record considering the shows were scarce and far in between.    It's time for Vianna to pass the baton to Aurelia.   We'll see what happens to Vianna next..... stay tuned tomorrow.
