Jasabeau Debuts at Blog

Hi, I am Jasabeau, nice to meet you.

My mommy is Jasmin and daddy Aabel.  Mama Betty named me Jasabel.

I said to mama Betty, "Do you realize that I am a boy? I am not a belle, I am a beau."

Mama Betty said, "OK, now you are Jasabeau!"

Boo’s Good Life with Carol

When we started attending Carol's summer shows, Carol had a Boxer named Tyson.  Around 2015, Tyson was over 10 years old, Carol added a 4-months old Mini Aussie Boo.   Mini Aussie is officially named "Mini American Shepherd" by AKC but most people call them the Mini Aussie.

Tyson took Boo under his wing.  Two of them are best buddies.

Tyson was old when Boo came, eventually he went to the doggie heaven.  So happy with the Mini Aussie, Carol welcomed Dallas into the family.

Now Boo is the big brother and Dallas the little brother.  Two of them are Carol's best office manager and assistant.  Carol would have been quite lonely and lost during the pendemic without their help in the office.

Morgan’s Beautiful French Angora

In 2021, Morgan Oesterling's white French Angora won youth Best In Show at the ARBA convention at Louisville.  That was the first time a French Angora won convention Best In Show, open or youth.  A few hours later, Morgan's mentor Eric won open Best In Show also with a French Angora white senior doe.   That's a first for the open show.   And double open and youth convention Best In Show with French Angora went down to the history.

Morgan keeps on working hard on her herd, and keeps on winning.  Here is a chestnut doe Deena that won Best In Show at the PA Farm Show.

Another Best In Show at the PA Farm Show.  Double winning.

Deena's cousin chestnut doe Wendy won the youth Best In Show at the PaSRBA show.  Morgan had to go to work, and standing in her place is little brother Taylor.

French Angora Babies Growing Fast

A few weeks ago, we saw Carol's French Angora doe Iris loving her babies.

Times flies, here is the chocolate agouti buck.

There are two chocolates, one buck and one doe.  They are more like young teens than babies, should we call them juniors rather than babies?

This white buck is especially chunky ....

... and has beautiful guard hairs.

Matt and Ashley’s Fun Life with Animals

We have seen many photos and reports of Matt Bishop and Ashley Shaw over the years.  They met when they were youth showing Angora.   They have raised all four breeds of Angora, Matt even won a convention group with his English Angora when he was still a youth.   Now their main breed is the Giant Angora, winning Best In Show regularly, this is a photo of their Best In Show winning at the PA state convention in February.  PaSRBA show is one of the very major shows in the country.

Matt passed all the requirements to become an ARBA judge in 2019, judged his first show ever at WCC, see:

They had their wedding plan for 2020 but COVID prevent it from happening, eventually in 2021, they became husband and wife.   Angora was such an important part of their courtship, two of the Giant Angora bunnies are in the wedding party.

In addition to the Angora, Matt and Ashley are also big fans of the Golden Retriever, they are also in the wedding party.

They also show their Golden Retriever and needless to say, their Golden Retriever wins in shows.

More importantly, the Golden Retriever are their family members.

They are also exercise buddies.

In addition to rabbits and dogs, their life also includes sheep that are pets as well as producers of wool to be used in their Blue Mountain Fiber Mill in Harrisburg, PA.  Carol has visited their mill in 2018, see:
