Barbara's Beautiful Dolls

Barbara T. has not been judging rabbits for a while, we all miss her.

At the San Joaquin County Fair, Barbara shows off her skill of crocheting dresses for dolls. Look at the dolls in the beautiful dresses; don't they look like Miss America contestants?

Cavy Show in Reno

Best In Show Peruvian and Reserve In Show Amerian. Judge Peter H. with the owner of these two winners.

Do you see one or two Peruvian? The right answer is two! The presentation platforms double as carriers.

Where is the head? Does this question sound familiar to the English Angora breeders?

Armando's Texel Wins BOB at the Cavy National

Judge Armando brings in great news. His Texel cavy Gillian took Best of Breed at the Cavy National in the spring.

These Texel wool will be wonderful for spinning; they are as long or even longer than the Angora! Armando is also starting with Peruvian; he is now the "Angora breeder" of cavies!

Maureen's Show Day

Maureen's English Angora white doe Big Time Edie won BOB; it's Edie's senior leg for grand champion.

Glen Carr is the judge for English Angora.

Tonna Thomas judges Best In Show.

Maureen is the writer during the English Angora judging.

Ron Petras judges English Angora.
(Look at the holding coops full of shavings at the right; can you imagine putting Angora in these coops?)

Maureen had been absent from shows for a couple of months; last weekend she made it to a double show. There were quite a few English Angora in the show.

Her litter of REW bunnies just turned senior and they did great in the show under judges Glen and Ron. Edie, shown in picture #1, received her senior leg and granded. Armando took BOS and then took BOB in show B. Bree took BOS in show B and took her first leg.

Maureen had a great day.

The Lovely Couple Demo At The Fair

Tracy does spinning demo at the San Joaquin County Fair.

Is this a stuffed bunny or for real?

Franco plays with his home-made spinner.

Fair goers look at Tracy's creations.

Tracy's Korean exchange student Danny holding the bunny.

Danny and Oscar getting their feet massaged.

The lovely couple Franco and Tracy did demo at the San Joaquin county fair during the weekend. Their son Oscar and their Korean exchange student Danny tagged along.

Franco and Tracy were a hit; people just loved their demo. Those who saw the bunny in the basket thought it was a stuffed animal until it moved.

Randy Travis on stage.

Another view of Randy Travis on stage.

The complete view of the stage.

Randy Travis's truck.

The audience are patiently waiting for Randy Travis to go on stage.

A county fair would not be complete without country music. Randy Travis provides just that at the San Joaquin Fair. The audience all get into his music and it's a great time for all.

Reptile Encounter

Albino Boa constrictor; it's heavy!

Boa contrictor has a fat body but a little head.

Crocodile skin is not as rough as I'd imagine.

Look, Australian Bearded Dragon!

They are alive, but they don't move.

Some kind of lizard or Iguana, anyone knows?

The Home Arts Building is located directly across from the Reptile display. Curiosity gets to Betty; she goes over to see the display and finds out that touching is OK. So, here are the photos of Betty's reptile touching experience.
