Gorgeous Sakura

The Japanese name of Cherry Blossom is Sakura, it is the unofficial national flower of Japan.

 

April is the month for holding the Cherry Blossom Festival, Cherry Blossoms are at the height of their beauty.  The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is currently going on at Japantown in San Francisco during the two weekends of April 8-9 and 15-16, 2023.   

These are double cherry blossom trees that are extremely beautiful and bloom gloriously for a short time.  They do not produce cherry or prune.

These trees are located at the front entrance of a Japanese church in Sacramento area, we thank Carolyn for taking these beautiful photos.

Betty, Casey and Pattee Go Get Vac

Pattee, Betty and Casey arrive at the Kittel Family Veterniary Practice to get checked in.

It's time to get the young Angoras vaccinated against RHDV.

Pattee, Betty and Casey are ready to get the spring buns to start their show careers.   Vaccination gives the peace of mind of protecting the precious buns from the deadly virus.

Our contact technician at the practice is John; he loves these fluffies. With John is Chucky, Betty's English Angora chocolate tort junior buck.

Pattee's French Angora opal buck is the big guy in the group.  John loves to hold Aussie.

John helps Betty to bring her buns to her van.

The Medgene vaccine requires 2 shots to receive protection.   The second shots are to be adminstrated 3-5 weeks after the first shots.  We will be back to Kittel Family Veterniary Practice again for the second shots.  

 

Pretty French Angora Juniors

Three French Angora siblings, all chocolate agouti.  They are so uniform that they look like three peas in a pod.  At 3-3/4 months old, they each weighs 6-1/2 pounds.

Feather and Fan Scarf

This is a beautiful "Feather and Fan" scarf made by Carolyn.

The "Feather and Fan" pattern is intricate and elegant.    The yarn is 50/50 Angora and Merino lamb's wool.

Fawnessa approves of this scarf.
