Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2023

It's the year of the Rabbit, it's St. Patrick's Day, we celebrate by going green.

Going green means having some greens in the piggy bank.

We celebrate the St. Patrick's day with the green bunnies and the greens in the piggy bank.

Northern California Angora Guild wishes everyone a happy hoppy St. Patrick's day and have lots of greens in the piggybank.

Spring Coming at Carol's Home

We have gone to Carol's home so many times for shows and treats.  She is the most generous person to host all these wonderful activities.   We normally go in the summer, so we missed the chance of seeing the spring blooms in her yard.   With the abundant rain this year, her yard is full of blooming flowers.  Enjoy!

A “Miracle Weed” for Rabbits

We have posted photos of flowers for our enjoyment.   Today we are posting photos of a not-so-pretty but extremely functional plant: Musk Stork's-Bill.

It's a common weed that is abundant during the spring, when summer comes, it wilts and harder to find. This is a mature plant.

This cluster of Musk Stork's-Bill is young and tender.

When rabbits are not eating well due to woolblock/hairball/stasis, pregnancy, illness, .... most will still be willing to nibble on this weed.  In many times, this weed would bring the rabbit out of the rut.

Rabbits like the taste of it.

It's good to be used as treat or as a medicine.

Rabbits gobble it up.

It helps to stimulate the appetite.

Bellflower as Pretty as a Masterpiece Painting

Is this a photo or a master painting?  It's a photo taken by Carolyn Sawai.

It's called a Bellflower plant.   The flowers are beautiful, the photography is even better.
