Franco Visits at Reno

Franco and Tracy used to be very active in rabbit shows.  Tracy had Satin Angora and French Angora; both Tracy and Franco spin the wool.    Their three sons had various breeds.    Due to change of jobs and house, they went out of rabbits but Franco keeps in touch with the wonderful world of rabbits.   One of the most frequently visited Facebook page "California Rabbit Shows" is created and moderated by him.

Franco and Tracy have just moved from Sacramento to Reno in mid June, just a week prior to the Truckee Meadow RC show.   Franco comes by to visit and take photos to be posted on the Facebook.

Is this a Rabbit Show or a Shopping Trip?

On Saturday, June 18, 2016, Truckee Meadow Rabbit Club holds their annual double all breed show at a shopping center.   Yes, you read it right, the showroom is in a shopping center!

At the Shoppers Square Shopping Center, there are rabbits in the parking lot.

Betty's English Angora, blower, grooming tools, cage stands, ... ready to be taken to the shopping mall.

Next to the shopping center, there is Bank of America, a motel, a donut shop, IHOP, ...
Inside the shopping center, there are CVS, Marshall, Tuesday Morning, a muffin shop, a Vietnamese restaurant, a sandwich shop, a beauty salon, a nail shop, and some miscellaneous little shops.

Instead of merchandise in the store, there are rabbits and rabbits, ...

The size of the store is huge, rabbits are not taking up all the spaces.

Truckee Meadow club members taped the plastics to the carpet to keep the floor clean and to direct exhibitors to the correct area for rabbits and to go to the judging tables.

It's a very nice set up, people and rabbits are all enjoying a rabbit show in a shopping mall.

At the end of the day, Betty finds a closer parking space to load her English Angora back to her van.
This is the first time in 35 years that Betty shows her rabbits in a shopping center.   There is a first time for everything, even after all these years.
