Grooming McKenzie

 

 

Betty is grooming McKenzie at the patio outside the showroom during the Napa show.   People are always fascinated that the English Angora is "so big, so fluffy, where are the eyes, where is the head, ..."  

With McKenzie being in the front and the blower on, it seems that McKenzie is bigger than Betty.

Ida Wins Open Reserve In Show at Napa

 

 

Betty's English Angora white doe Chu's Ida barely became a senior in 2014.

 

  

In open show B at Napa, Betty's English Angora white doe Chu's Ida gets the Reserve In Show award from judge Stan.    Ida is a very young senior doe, this is her first big win.




 

Open Show B Best In Show Winner at Napa

 

 

Judge Stan awards the open show B Best In Show to Jane's Mini Lop.

If you think the hat looks a little familiar, go to the next photo.
 

Makayla's Mini Lop is the double Best In Show winner in the youth shows.   She says to Jane during the open Best In Show judging, "Wear my hat, it'll bring you luck".  

Jane's Mini Lop goes on to win show B Best In Show.

The two Mini Lop rabbits are littermates.


 

Open Show A Winners at Napa

 

 

 

Judge Ted awards the open Best In Show in show A to Holly and Rebecca's Himalayan.

 

 

Show A Reserve In Show goes to Kelly's Lilac.

 

This is Holly and Rebecca's first Best In Show win, the winner is a 3-year-old buck.
 

This is also Kelly's first big win, this is probably the first time a Lilac wins in an open show in No. CA.




 

Youth Reserve In Show Winners at Napa

 

 

In youth show A, Becca's Holland Lop wins Reserve In Show from judge Chris Z.

In youth show B, judge Linda awards the Reserve In Show to a Netherland Dwarf.




 

Youth Makayla Big Winner in the First Show of 2014 at Napa

Napa 4-H club puts on the first show of 2014 on January 4 at the club house of Napa Valley Horse Association.

Makayla likes pink, cupcakes and her Mini Lop.   She also likes her lucky pink Angora hat that she bought from Betty the first thing in the morning.

 

In the first show, Makayla wins the youth Best In Show from judge Chris Z.

 

With her lucky pink Angora hat and pretty pink cupcake apron, Makayla's Mini Lop wins the youth Best In Show in show B.  

This is the first time that Makayla winning double Best In Show.   2014 must be her very lucky year.
