Meara Waiting to be Judged at Watsonville

Meara went to the show at Portola Valley three weeks ago to show off her reformed personality after a long hiatus from the show circuit, though she did not win anything, she was warmly received.

When information came that the shows at Watsonville is one doe short of the number needed for a leg, Meara becomes a last minute add-on.    She is now so calm that she accepts grooming and waits patiently to go on the show table.

She does so well that she wins the BOB in show A over her son and several grand kids.   In show B, her son and her grand daughter are the winners but she happily accepts that result.

Angora Hats for Blythe Dolls

Betty says,

I was asked to make some hats for Blythe dolls, here are three that I made.

It's hard to imagine but the little doll hats are harder to make than the regular adult hats.  Here is a comparison of the size difference between the doll hats and a regular people hat.  It takes about the same amount stitches with finer yarn and much smaller needles.

The blue/pink hat is on the Blythe doll.

The hats are reversible with a slightly different look, there is no right side nor wrong side.
Compare this photo with the one above and you can see the strips in different locations.

The pink hat on the Blythe doll.

The same pink hat reversed.

The beige ice cream cone hat on the Blythe doll.

The same ice cream cone hat reversed.

If there are any Blythe doll collectors interested in these hats, contact Betty at englishangora88@yahoo.com     the price of these hats are the same as the people hat.  I can make matching hats for the doll and the human.
