English Angoras Win Best In Show in CO

At the Colorado state convention on Saturday, Andrea and Kathy’s English Angora colored junior buck was awarded Reserve In Show in show A, no photo available.    On Sunday, Andrea and Kathy’s colored senior doe Poppy wins the open Best In Show.  Kathy is not in the photo due to a scheduling conflict.

In the War of Wool show, Andrea and Kathy’s white senior doe Sugar wins the specialty Best In Show.

Andrea Evans, Linda Hibbart and the Thomas family are on the COD broken English Angora.
They have a display show of two broken English Angora at the CO State Convention.  Judge Jennifer Schimpf on the far right side examined the display and was impressed.

Judge Ray Stacy also examined the two broken English Angora on display, very excited that he was one of the first judges to look at them.

Carol's French Angora Angela Wins Reserve In Show in CO

Carol goes to the Colorado State Convention on Saturday, April 26.   French Angora Angela was the only French Angora shown in the entire show and guess what, she won the Reserve In Show in show B, mama Carol is very proud of Angela.   Judge Wendy Lane from WA who awards the honor is shown with Angela and Carol Green.     Carol needed to get home early, only stayed for the Saturday shows, Angela did not get a chance to compete on Sunday.

Angela waiting for the judging.   She is too big to fit into a wooden coop.

The English Angora BOB in the carrier is waiting for Best In Show judging.

Wisteria In Bloom

It's spring, it's time for flowers to bloom.

Our pink Wisteria is in the early stage of blooming.

The Wisteria has a nice fragrant smell that the bees love.   Look at the two bumble bees at the top.

We also have a levander colored Wisteria that are also blooming.

Both colors are very attractive.

Mushroom Cloud and Mama Chloe

This is a cute white English Angora.

Her name is Mushroom Cloud.

Mushroom Cloud's mama is Chloe Currey.

Chloe shows Mushroom Cloud occasionally.

Chloe's sister Bianca helped to show Mushroom Cloud in the January show at Vallejo.

Most of the time, Chloe would take Mushroom Cloud to schools to introduce rabbits to kids.

Mushroom Cloud is tame and sweet, a perfect rabbit for visiting schools.

It's time for Mushroom Cloud to have her first haircut and Chloe was a bit nervous about it as it is Chloe's first time cutting an Angora.

Chloe did a great job and Mushroom Cloud enjoys the extra cuddling.

Brotherly Haircuts

This is Alexander, a very handsome buck, littermate of Aurelia.   Many BOSB wins and achieved Grand Champion status long ago.

Brother Arlo is a bit smaller but equally handsome.   He comes up later than Alexander but received more wins during the months of February and March.  Also achieved Grand Champion status.

Brothers are put on on the grooming table and receiving haircuts.  Why?
After the San Jose show weekend concluded, there is a long stretch of not having any shows in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.   Many judges and exhibitors are involved in breed national specialty shows out of state, as a result, April becomes a vaccum for the exhibitor not wanting to go to faraway shows.

Brothers are a bit confused looking at each other.

Why are we here?

What's mama doing to us?

You look like a peacock.

You should look at yourself, you look like a peacock.

I got a bigger tail than you!

Mine is bigger.

We look pretty bad, don't we.  Mama says, Don't worry, your wool will grow back, you both will be handsome again.
