A very cute 6-week-old being the Valentine model.

Fawnessa is a nice junior, last photo taken at her birth home.

She assumed her life as a pampered princess still a junior.

She enjoys her life as a princess with many toys since May 2019.

Flower Girl and Fawnessa are littermate sisters.

This photo was taken in spring 2019 when they were juniors.

Life took them into different directions but now they are united.

Gorgeous Simone

Beautiful Simone sits next to the Calla Lily.

Simone is only 5 months old but she has the wool and body of a senior doe.  Her body is wide and strong, thus named after Simone Biles.

Here is a close up of Simone and...

… look at her wool density and texture.

Mom Henrietta and Daughter Rayna

Mom Henrietta and daughter Rayna enjoy broccoli leaves.

Henrietta tells Rayna, yummy yummy, isn't it good?

Henrietta is 5-1/4 years old and Rayna 3-3/4 years old.   Both are older girls.

For an old girl over 5 years old, Henrietta is in remarkedly good shape.

Both old girls were cut down during the shutdown.  They were in shows during the spring, Henrietta even won the BOS and received a leg at the very last show before shutdown at Stockton on 2/29/2020.

Mom Henrietta has a darker color, she is more of a "wild gray chestnut" while Rayna is a "regular chestnut".   Rayna was cut a couple weeks later than Henrietta thus still in the very uneven growth stage.

Are you done yet?  We are bored.   We need you to be more efficient in cleaning our condos.

I am ready to go home, pick me up.

Maid service done, condos cleaned.

Rayna on the left and Henrietta on the right enjoying their cleaned living quarters.

Pretty Fortnight Lily

These flowers are small but very pretty.

It's light in color, a bit like orchid but not delicate.

They bloom all year round.

The name of the plant is called Fortnight Lily, they are very hardy, good for landscaping.

Convention Memories: 1998 ARBA Convention Youth Best In Show

In 1998 at the ARBA convention in Portland, we witnessed a youth Best In Show.  Kelly Johnston of Minnesota won with an English Angora white senior doe.   The group judge was Don Matthews of CA and the Best In Show judge was Cliff Dick of OR.   This is actually the second time an English Angora won the youth Best In Show at the ARBA convention.  The first time was in 1979 by Diana Oldham of CA, the convention was held in AZ.   Unfortunately that was before the time any of the current breeders was active, none witnessed it or had a photo.

1998 was Kelly's last showing in youth, she was 18 at the time.  In 1999, Kelly and mom Vicki showed as a team in open.  This picture of Betty with Vicki and Kelly were taken in 1999 at the ARBA convention in Louisville, KY.   Vicki was the secretary of NARBC for quite a few years, the club greatly benefited from her skill and dedication.   Kelly went to college then dental school now has her own practice, she is married with children.   Vicki had a successful business that sold Angora socks, mittens and other winter/outdoors wear for many years, now retired.   They have retired from the wonderful world of Angoras.

It's a Great Father's Day

Rosie and her son and daughters would like to find a very special gift for the Father's Day.

He is so cute, what's his name?  Snowy Ice.

Let's take a picture for dad.

Dad's last English Angora passed away two years ago at 8 years old, he will love to have another one.

Yes, that's what I want.  David is very happy.

This English Angora is so cute and so tame, like a baby.

David and Snowy Ice are best friends.
