Aurelia Wins Best In Show and Reserve In Show at Anderson

During the weekend of December 13-15, 2020, CRCS puts on 5 open shows and BAARG puts on 2 specialty shows.

Aurelia waited for a long time to go to shows.   After having so much fun at Hollister and receiving so much love, she tells Mama Betty that she wants to go again.

Aurelia is so happy that Mama Betty takes her to Anderson.

Aurelia gets the honor of open all breed Reserve In Show from judge Cathy Szychulda on Friday night.

Aurelia gets the BAARG specialty show Best In Show from judge Josh Humphries who is the president of ARBA.

Aurelia wins the second BAARG specialty Best In Show from judge Griffin Harrah and Open all breed Best In Show in show D from judge Josh Humphries on Sunday.

Aurelia likes all the prizes show won but especially loves the CRCS Best In Show warm blanket to snuggle to.

It has been a fun but wet weekend.  Us in CA are not used to having heavy rain, most of us do not remember to bring rain gears even with weather report said it was going to rain.  Lots of soaking wet people but buns got protected.  Aurelia and Mama Betty will have more reports to follow.

Show C Best In Show Judging at Hollister

Show C Best In Show judge is Scott Rodriguez of WY.

BOB New Zealand.

Not sure which breed it is, but for sure it's a BOB!

BOB English Angora.

English Angora is easy to pose.

Best In Show goes to Betty Chu's English Angora.

Reserve In Show is Amanda Brewer's English Lop.

It's the end of the show, the end of the day, Carol and Betty have a wonderful show day.  Each won a Best In Show chair.   We better put name on the chair, or we'll be very confused when using the chairs in future shows.

This post concludes the photos and reports of the Rabbit Producers of Santa Clara Valley show held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Hollister, CA.

Show A Best In Show Judging at Hollister

After enjoying his birthday cake and celebration, judge Cole Rupprecht gets the honor of judging Best In Show in show A.

The American Fuzzy Lop BOB is a frosty, a new color that was just accepted at the 2024 ARBA convention.  This is the first show that this color is eligible to show and compete, and it's a BOB!

Judge Cole looks at a Polamino.

We don't see Checker Giant often in this area.

This Checker Giant has a lot of character, it thumps loudly, climbs to everything, ...

The BOB French Angora is a chestnut doe.

The English Angora BOB is the tort doe.

Holland Lop posing is very important.

Judge Cole awards the Best In Show to Chris's Holland Lop and Reserve In Show to Betty's English Angora.

Judge Cole Rupprecht Birthday Celebration at Hollister

Judge Cole Rupprecht's birthday was December 6, just a day before the RPSCV show at Hollister.

Show general chairman Chris is very considerate, prepares a huge birthday cake for Cole.

Judge Cole enjoys a big slice of his birthday cake.   Yummy!  We got to have a piece too.

Doctor Reddy and Family Visit at Hollister

We had heard about Chris Zemny's bycle accident in November.   She is the general chairman for the RPSCV show at Hollister.   It was a very serious accident that required her to stay in ICU and had surgery to repair her clavicle and ribs.   She posted this photo of X-Ray on her facebook.    She thanked Dr. Reddy for the wonderful job.

Guess what, wonderful Dr. Reddy and Mrs. Reddy and their two children came to visit at Hollister.
Chris is thrilled that they came and gave them a tour.

Mrs. Reddy is really enchanted by the English Angora.

Betty was introduced to them and got a photo taken.
