Bird Seeds Taste Good Enough for A Bear

Chris in MA just put out some bird seeds in the bird feeder, within a few minutes a black bear appears to enjoy the fresh seeds.   Birds are no match for the bear, they are no where to be found.

Go Home, Alvin

It's late, it's all dark, what are you doing here, Alvin?  Go home!

OK, I'll go.

I really would like to go there.

So many pretty girls are over there.

Well, I can't get in to visit the girls.  Kitty, would you play with me?

Nikki does not want anything to do with Alvin.

OK, you can stay overnight until your mama Julie comes to pick you up in the morning.

Mary Jane says good bye to Alvin when his mama Julie comes to pick him up early in the morning.

See you again soon, Alvin.

Big Times Junior English Angora Show Wins

Maureen has good fortunate in having a gorgeous litter from Big Times Delilah. Before the juniors reach 4 months old, they are already winning their classes and even winning over the seniors. Big Times Delilah has won all breed Best In Show twice in addition to the 7 legs that she cumulated. Her brother is the beautiful black buck Big Times Jamey, 46 legs, that lives with Betty in CA.

This is the first time out for the two juniors at the OH state convention under judge Allan from Utah.  The white junior doe won Best of Variety and choc tort junior buck won Best Opposite Sex of Breed in large entries.

Judge Stacy loves the little white doe; it went over all the seniors to win the Best of Breed in the show in mid May just weeks after the OH state convention.

Maureen is holding her young white junior doe that won Best of Breed under judge Stacy and her Best Opposite Sex of breed choc tort buck is sitting on the judging table.

The choc tort buck has won 5 legs in 5 shows, of which 4 of the winnings are BOS.   He is not even 4 months old in this picture.

Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras Coming Soon

Betty says,

One year after we moved to Morgan Hill, CA., the Mushroom Mardi Gras started.   It was an answer to the Gilroy Garlic Festival that attracted national and even international attention.    Comparing to the Gilroy Garlic Festival, Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras is no where near the size nor the hype.   However, it survived year after year for over 30 years and 2012 will be the 33rd time.  While the Garlic Festival charges an admission and a parking fee, the Morgan Hill event is free for all attendants, neither admission charge nor parking fee.

Just in case you are not too far from my hometown, come and visit the festival and enjoy the good food, booth and music.
