Youth English Angora Wins Best In Show

It's Collin's first trip to an ARBA national convention. The 14-year-old tall handsome young man received the highest honor in the competition: Youth Best In Show. Collin's English Angora tort doe is 6-1/2 months old, bred by himself.

At the top, Collin was awarded the Best In Show trophy.

The second picture shows Collin with Judge Judy and Best Opposite Sex of Breed winner McKenna immediately after judging.

The third photo shows Collin waiting outside the auditorium for the judging of Best In Show.

This is the third time that an English Angora winning the Youth Best In Show. The first Youth Best In Show English Angora was shown by Diana O. of CA in 1979; the second Youth Best In Show English Angora was shown by Kelly of MN in 1998. Diana is no longer in rabbits but Kelly is still active in English Angora and attended this convention.

A French Angora also won the Youth Group this year.

We are finally back from the ARBA National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was a long trip, full of activities and fun.

Betty's chocolate tort senior doe Chu's Sevenah wins the Best of Breed English Angora at the convention. It is definitely the high point of her trip.

The top picture is Sevenah in a picture perfect pose.

The next two pictures are the customary "Winners' Circle" photos at the feed booths.

The fourth photo is Betty, Sevenah and Judge Judy after the judging is over; and the fifth photo is Judy making the final selection of the Best of Breed.

There will be more reports on the blog soon.
