It's Loquat Time!

We have several of the loquat trees, this is the biggest and most productive one.

The tree is full of the loquat fruits.

The loquat tree is next to the rabbit barn.

View from the front of the rabbit barn.

Aren't these loquat fruits beautiful?

More loquat fruits.

The drawback of loquat fruits is that they have a short shelf life.   If ready to be picked, they need to be picked within a couple of days and they don't stay fresh on the counter or in the refrigerator for long.   So what do I do with all these fruits?  Stay tuned.

Chocolate Agouti English Angora

We have seen quite a few chocolate agouti French Angora recently but not English Angora.  Here is a beautiful chocolate agouti English Angora buck.

This is a solid that comes from Debbie's broken English Angora presentation project.   The color is intense and has all the right look.   It's only three months old and the potential is there.

It has very short and round type, sure will be good for showing and spinning.

Very Fluffy French Angora Yarn

Uptown Girl looks very pretty, very hard to realize that she is almost 5 years old.  One of the signs of getting older is the wool getting more hairy.   All animals whether rabbits or sheep or goats all get more hairy as they age.

This wool shows lots of guard hairs that are very shiny and with intense color.

This is the one ply yarn from Uptown Girl's wool on the bobbin.   Look at the fluff!

After plying with a binding thread, we can still see the fluff on this yarn.

A close up of this French Angora yarn shows the underwool that is lighter in color while the guard hairs fluffing out is very intense in color.

Pattee and Her Rabbitry

Pattee is fairly new in the wonderful world of rabbits.   She is very fortunate to have a supportive hubby Curtis who goes to show with her.

Curtis and Pattee converted a carport into an enclosed barn for the rabbits.

There's plenty of space for the rabbit cages.

Here are some of the Angoras: Giant Angora and English Angora.

Casey's Ava Gets a Hair Cut

Casey's Ava is a pretty English Angora white doe that has been doing well in shows.  Among her major wins, there's the first place white junior doe at the convention in Reno and a Reserve In Show at the California State Convention in late February.

Her coat is still beautiful but what's the point of keeping such a big coat during a shut down?

Needless to say Ava's show career comes to an early end with the "Shelter-in-Place" order.

Ava has angel wings, she looks devine.

Annisha's Singleton Son

I am the only one, mom Annisha loves me.

Everyone is afraid that I will be lonely so I have two foster brothers.

Now I am growing up, do I look good?   Mom thinks I'm handsome.

I have a big head!

Who Loves Yarn?

Boo loves yarn.

It's as comfy as a pillow.

Boo wants to give mama Carol some help, the yarn needs some doggy smell.

Mama Carol thinks the sweater will fit Boo very well.
