Visit from Arie, Kathi and Brie

Arie flies in from Indonesia to be the official registrar of WCC next week.  Kathi, Brie, Arie and Betty have lunch at Rosy's at the beach in downtown Morgan Hill.

After lunch, the group go to Betty's place for a short stay.

We are doing "Wefie" as there are more than one person to be qualified as "Selfie".

Kathi, Brie and Arie are little disappointed that the persimmon tree that they picked from last fall is now totally fruitless; the leaves are pretty but no fruit.  See  their persimmon picking experience at:  https://ncag.blogspot.com/2016/11/ari-picks-persimmons.html

Will Wes be a New French Angora Exhibitor?

Wes wrote to Betty over a month ago asking for both English and French Angora.

After lots of back and forth questions and answers, Wes accepts Betty's advise to start slowly.

Wes agrees to start with one French Angora buck, to learn the rope, to try his hand in grooming and showing.

Wes shows up at Stockton, looks at the French Angora buck and listens to Betty's explanation of his heritage and care instructions.

What? You are talking about me?

So am I going to a new home?  Are you sure?  I just won another leg!

I hope my new home will be good for me, and I hope to have a girlfriend and start a family.

Claudina Getting Ready for Judging

Claudina's best friend Carolyn records how she gets ready for the show table:

Mama is using a blower to make me pretty.

Mom, that tickles...

Mom, do you have to fuss over my butt that much?

Mom, that's enough...

I'm really fluffy, I'm ready...

Yes, I'm so ready...

After all this blowing and fluffing now I'm in this little coop.  Hey, cousin Incendio, don't you think this whole thing is kinda ridiculous?

Hi, cousin Claudina, I totally agree with you.   My mama spends so much time to make me into a big fluffy ball but look at me, I'm squeezed into this little coop.

Big Time Cecilia Wins BOSB at the Angora National

Maureen says, "I got to work but I really wanted to go to the Angora National.  I did a quick turnaround with two rabbits, here is my white doe Big Time Cecilia".

Big Time Cecilia wins the English Angora BOSB to Gaby's colored buck that took BOB.
Immediately after the English Angora were judged, Maureen packed up and took the 230 miles trip back to Ohio.   It was a quick trip but it's a lot of fun.
