Show A Angora Judging at Stockton

 
 
 
 
In show A, judge Amy starts with the English Angora.  

Matt clerks for judge Amy, on the table are two white English Angora.
 

There are 19 English Angora to be judged.


 
On the table is the English Angora colored senior buck.

 
English Angora colored senior doe has an even bigger coat than the senior buck.

 

Now the French Angora are waiting to be judged.
 

There are 21 French Angora in open and youth.

 
Judge Amy is comparing the two top colored senior does in a class of 7.

Claudina Wins Specialty Best In Show at Stockton

 
 
 
Northern California Angora Guild holds specialty show on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in conjunction with the Big Valley RA all breed shows.
 
 
 
Claudina has been doing well in shows since she's a young junior, winning BOV and BOSB in the ARBA convention at Del Mar.   
 

In the Angora specialty show at Stockton, judge Melissa awards Claudina the specialty Best In Show.

Greta is the First Angora to Win a Youth Best In Show




At the Big Valley RA show at Stockton, all eyes and fingers are pointed to BJC's Greta held by her mama Melody.    Greta is the first Angora to have won a youth Best In Show in the Northern California show area.





Judge Amy from Bakersfield awards the youth Best In Show to Melody's French Angora BJC's Greta.


Melody loves Greta.  Greta is the youth BOSB winner at the ARBA convention at Del Mar.


Melody does all her caring and grooming of Greta.



BJC's Greta is co-bred by Betty and Jill, BJ for each of the initial of Betty and Jill,  and their last names start with the same C.    Melody takes great care of Greta.   It takes a group effort to succeed.

Youth Top Winners at Stockton

 
 
 
 
In show A, judge Amy Zittel awards to the youth Best In Show to Melody's French Angora.  This is the first time an Angora wins the youth Best In Show in the No. CA area.





Judge Kendal awards show B youth Best In Show to Katie's Californian.  

 

Lindsey's rabbits are frequent winners on the youth table.  It's no exception at the BVRA shows.  Her New Zealand won youth Reserve In Show in both show A and show B.

French Angora HGF Ginger Rogers Wins Double Best In Show at Pasrba Convention





Pasrba Convention is the largest rabbit show in the east.  This year the Pasrba convention was held on Saturday February 4 and Saturday February 5, 2017.  
According to the Pasrba Facebook page, there were over 17,000 entries in two days.  Each day there is one open and one youth all breed show, then there are a large number of specialty shows.   Winning the all breed Best In Show at the Pasrba is the crown jewel of any achievement.




On Saturday French Angora HGF Ginger Rogers wins the open all breed Best In Show.  The judge is Mike Avesing, the previous ARBA president.    The breeders/owners are Eric Stewart and Gabe Fernandez.
In the photo are Gabe and Mike, Eric is not shown.    This is the first time HGF Ginger Rogers going to a show.

 
On Sunday Febraury 5, 2017, again HGF Ginger Rogers wins the all breed Best In Show.   The Best In Show judge is Josh Humphries, the current president of ARBA.  Once again Eric is not in the photo.

Big Valley Rabbit Association holds double all breed shows at Stockton, CA on February 4, 2017.
 
 
 
Judge Allan Ormond of Utah picks the top winners in show A.   Ray's broken Satin wins open Best In Show.

Show A Reserve In Show goes to Gary's Champagne d'Argent.

 

In show B, judge Cathy Szychulda awards the Best In Show to Julie's Havana.
 

Paul and John's Mini Satin gets the Reserve In Show award from judge Cathy.
