Vendor Booths at the Quilt Show, Part 4

A show won't be complete without the vendors.

There are quite a bit of people shopping and looking.

This sewing machine is doing embroidery without anyone operating it.

The sewing machine is computer chip controlled and the price isn't for everyone.

Though these are not exactly quilt related products, baskets of goodies are always eye-catching.

Pink irons!

Some creative signs.

More creative signs of the vendors.

Morgan Hill has a sister city in Japan: Mizuho.

These are the ladies in the Mizuho Quilt Club.

They made the little quilted fruits, animals and babies for the Morgan Hill quilt show.

Here is a close up of the quilted horses and babies.

Winner Quilts at the Quilt Show, Part 2

Betty loves a Best In Show even it's not a rabbit.

The quilt took the first place in the "small" category with the blue rosette then went on to win "Best Of Show"  with the orange rosette.

The display of the Best Quilt is on a risen stage with the big quilts in the background.

Even though this is not the first place winner in the "large" category, it's voted as the "members' choice" winner.   Betty likes this one a lot.

This is the "Judge's choice" winner.   Betty is not seeing the point!

This is the first place in the "large" category.

This Michael Jackson tribute quilt won the "medium" category.   It definitely satisfies the Michael Jackson fans.

This green/blue quilt is very eye-catching, it won the "best color" award.

A second place quilt but very nice, look at the chickens at the edges.

Black Cherry on Tort

Four packs of black cherry Kool-Aid ....

... plus two skeins of tort yarn in the dye pot.

The yarn is not as red as expected, it's red but muted, almost pinkish.

The bottom red yarn looks more like the color in the dye pot but this skein is cherry and strawberry Kool-Aid dyed on white yarn.    Is the black cherry not bright enough or the tort yarn mutes the red color?

Tree Carving at Stockton

When the BVRA rabbit show is going on, there are noise outside.   Curious mind wants to know what's going on: the sign says "Always Carving".

There is a tree trunk, a lift machine and a person with a chain saw.

The guy is carving the tree with his chain saw.

This is an overview of the tree carving activity.

Not far away, there is a giant shopping cart advertising for Save Mart.
