Can't Fight Them, Feed Them

Betty sees a lot of squirrels in her yard.

The squirrels like to steal the sunflower seeds from rabbits' feeders.

It's hard to fight all the squirrels that are sneaky and fast.

When there are sunflower seeds on the ground, they stop bothering the rabbits.

Can't fight them, go along with what they want...

They want sunflower seeds.

The squirrel is happy to get the daily sunflower treats.

This squirrel is fat and happy!

Hanging Out with Freddie

Freddie has not been to the shows for a while, he is waiting for his wool to grow out.

He is dying to hang out with someone.

Hey, I am here, come play with me.

Too Windy for Angelique

The sun is shining, the temperature is mild, it's a good day for a photo session.

Mom, are you sure?  It's getting windy.

The wind is blowing my way, mom.

The wind is making a mess of my beautiful coat.

This is getting bad, the wind is blowing my coat into my face.

Mom, I can't see a thing!

Golfer's Best Friend

If a dog can dig holes for a golfer, do you think a rabbit can do the same?

A Pet Life is an Enjoyable Life

Jacky is one of Betty's Grand Champion white bucks.

Jacky has a change of lifestyle, going from a show rabbit to an indoor pet rabbit that has free run in the house.   He is renamed Winchester by Robert and Suzi.   Since he is registered as Jacky, Betty calls him Jacky/Winchester.

Jacky/Winchester has a house mate Pumpkin.

Jacky/Winchester and Pumpkin are fast best friends.

There is also a beautiful cat as their house mate.

Two more baby English Angora joint the family of Robert, Suzi and their twins.

Babies, Jacky/Winchester and Pumpkin all get along well.

Baby enjoys his pellets.

A happy family of English Angora.

The best life is a pet's life, lounging on the sofa, enjoying the attention and even watching their favorite TV programs.

Boys, Boys and Boys Again

In January, Franchesca's three sons were featured on:
http://ncag.blogspot.com/2016/01/boys-boys-and-boys.html
when they were 5 months old.
Two months later in March, their individual photos were featured on:
http://ncag.blogspot.com/2016/03/boys-boys-and-boys.html

The three boys are now 9 months old, they still look like identical triplets.
Can you tell them apart?   Betty is their caretaker mom, she still has to look at their ear tattoos to make identification.

All three boys competed against each other in shows.   Leg wise, Brodie has the most legs, so far 18.

Ryan has the fewest legs but he has the most impressive win: All breed Best In Show at the West Coast Classic over thousands of rabbits.

Stevens is the "in-between" brother, he has less legs than Brodie but more than Ryan.

In their individual photos, each seems to have distinctive characteristics.   On the show table or put next to each other, it's hard to tell them apart.    As thoroughly familiar with them since birth, Betty still cannot tell them apart!

Fibber Cup and Best In Show Prize

The 2016 ARBA national convention will be held on October 9-12, 2016 at the San Diego County Fairgrounds at Del Mar, CA.   The convention is named after Eabert "Fib" Mcgehee of OK.   "Fib" maintained the most convention Best In Show win in the convention history: 1973, 1978 and 1980 with his New Zealand and in 1999 with his Florida White.  "Fib" was also the general chairman of the 1989 and 1994 ARBA conventions held at Tulsa, OK.

The California Rabbit and Cavy Shows has started awarding the recent Best In Show winners with these beautiful folders.   Betty is very fortunate to be one of the winners of three out of three open Best In Show on April 23, 2016.   Two of the prizes were won by French Angora HGF Uptown Girl and one prize was won by English Angora Chu's Angelique.  On May 21, 2016, Betty's English Angora Chu's Emelina won double Best In Show and earned two more of these beautiful prizes.
