Love Love Love You

Remember us?  We were itty bitty little ones in the Love Bucket and we love you.

We are in and out of Love Bucket but we still love you.

We don't fit into the Love Bucket anymore, but we still love love love you.

The Life Cycle of a Rose

A rose bud is getting ready to bloom, analogous to a junior rabbit getting ready to go on the show table.

The rose is in prime, it's like a young senior ready to take on the show world.

A rose in full bloom, like a BIS rabbit!

A rose over the top prime, like a senior Angora hanging on to the coat but no longer fresh.

The rose is barely hanging on, does that sound like an Angora getting ready for a haircut?

Happy 8th Birthday, Zeeva

Zeeva is the winningest rabbit that is currently living in mama Betty's barn: 48 legs of which 41 BOB, 13 all breed Best In Show, 7 all breed Reserve In Show and 10 specialty Best In Show won in 2012.   Born on May 23, 2011, today is her 8 year old birthday, Happy Birthday Zeeva.    The following are some of the highlights of her show career.

This is one of the earlier picture of Zeeva in show with mama Betty.

One of the many BIS/RIS winnings in the early 2012 with judge Chris Zemny.

Zeeva was awarded the Best In Show at the 2012 California State Convention by ARBA Executive Director  judge Eric Stewart.

Getting Best In Show from judges Joe Lugo and Melissa Magee.

Zeeva received judge Nate Burbidge's first Best In Show.

Winning Best In Show from judge Randy Shumaker.

Judge Cathy Szychulda also awards Zeeva the Best In Show, and best of all sharing with Carol in the top winner spots.

Receiving Best In Show from judge Kevin Stanford.

.. and from judge Joe Lugo.

A Best In Show from ARBA president Josh Humphries.

Best In Show from judge Scott Williamson …

...minutes later another Best In Show from judge Joe Lugo.

At 8 years old today May 23, 2019, Zeeva does not have a show coat as she did in 2012 but she is still pretty and healthy.

Without a show coat, Zeeva gets to run on the lawn....

… to attend the old ladies club to social and gossip...

… to get selfie taken with mama Betty.

Neither mama Betty nor Zeeva is as young as in 2012 but both are still blessed with good health and love.

Rose Gold Gets a Haircut

Rose Gold is Carol's pride and joy.  Sweet disposition and great quality and big winner.

Rose Gold is sitting and waiting, what's happening?

It's time for that big job: hair cut!

First cut is always the hardest.

Pineapple cut!

Hi, sweetie, you are pretty, we can make more of you and me?

The Tortoise and the Hare

We all heard of the tale of the Hare and Tortoise. Found this cut painting to share.   Circa 1990s.
Also found the 1934 Disney short cartoon about the same subject, it's a little more elaborate than the original Aesop's fable, it's quite a fun to watch:

Annisha Gets A Haircut

Beautiful Annisha has a great show career: 41 legs of which 40 are BOB, 7 all breed BIS, 6 RIS and 2 specialty BIS.

Annisha being groomed is a gorgeous sight to be seen.

All good things have to come to an end, it's time for her to get a haircut, or to be more precise, to have her wool harvested.

Annisha looks like a wool peacock.

Annisha and her wool-fall.

Which one is bigger? A naked Annisha or the pile of her wool?

A few days later Annisha's wool has been spun into two skeins of yarn.  The skein in the front weighs 6-1/4 ounces and the smaller skein in the back is 2-1/4 ounces.   English Angora is such a beautiful breed, they are sweet, docile, great for show, great for pet and their wool keep on growing to be made into beautiful yarns.

Rose Gold Likes Head Rubs

Mom, my head, rub my head.

That's good, my whole head.

My nose too.

Mmm Mmm good.

Touch my ears too.
