Happy Second Birthday to Bao Bao and Bei Bei

On May 13, 2022, Kittens Bao Bao and Bei Bei join the Chu family.  They were found at the Merced County Fairgrounds, born to a feral mom.

Bao Bao weighed 16.5 ounces and Bei Bei weighed 15.5 ounces. If you want to know how tiny they were, the two boys are sitting on one of Albert's slippers in this photo.   With their weights and the color of their eyes, they are estimated to be 4 weeks old. I estimated that their birthday should be in mid April, and April 15 seems to be a good date.

All kittens have blue eyes until they are about 8 weeks old.  Both boys had blue eyes when they came and their eyes stayed blue for several more weeks.

They are growing up fast, or should I say they are growing like weed.  They were neutered at 6 months old, and at one year old they weighed in the teens.

At two years old, Bao Bao weighs 16 pounds and Bei Bei 15.5 pounds.

It's Bao Bao and Bei Bei's two years old birthday, I wish I could have a picture taken of them in my arms like the first picture at the top but they are too strong and too heavy.  Here is Bao Bao trying to escape, I barely could hold on to him.

Bei Bei is a bit better behaved, he lets me hold him close for a photo op.

They are good boys that give us a lot of love and amusement, love them dearly.
