Angora National Judging at WCC

The 2018 Angora National was held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in conjunction with the WCC event at Reno, NV.

Judge for the Angora National is Scott Rodriguez from Wyoming.

Judge Scott was an English Angora breeder/exhibitor when he was a youth.  His English Angora does won 1988 ARBA convention youth BOB and open BOV.  In the following year, his two does won BIS at Angora National in both open and youth.    Now he is a judge posing with the three youth Angora BOB winners.  The BIS is Andie's French Angora and Reserve Rachel's Giant Angora.

After the youth Angora National, judge Scott moves to open Satin Angora.   Heather records the judging.

The Satin Angora BOB and BOS winners both are bred and shown by Casey.

The next Angora breed on the table is the English Angora.

Judge Scott examines the two white English Angora.

The English Angora BOB winner is Matt's white senior doe and the BOS is Casey's white senior buck.

There are limited number of Giant Angora shown.

French Angora has the most number.

The French Angora colored senior doe class is huge.

The French Angora BOB winner is Eric/Gabe's colored senior doe, she advanced to the Best In Show at the Angora National.

NCAG Specialty Show on Friday Night at WCC

Prior to the official opening of the WCC on Saturday morning, several breed clubs hold specialty shows on Friday night.  Our club is one of them.

We are very fortunate to have ARBA president Josh Humphries judge our Friday night specialty show.
By Josh's side is his better half Sue.

Judge Josh starts with white English Angora.  On the table is a white junior buck.

Judge Josh is examining an English Angora white senior doe.

Judge Josh is now working on the French Angora colored senior doe class.

It's dry at Reno, judge Josh is using a wet towel to help reduce the static.

The colored junior doe class attracts lots of spectators.

Satin Angora has a very good showing, there are more than 25 Satin Angoras on the table.

Though it's late in the evening, exhibitors and spectators are still intensely watching judge Josh working on the Satin Angora.

The youth Best In Show is Andie's French Angora and the Reserve is Rachel's Giant Angora.
