Lighting Makes All the Difference!

Carol took this photo of Isabella at the showroom during the Cal State Convention until the regular indoor lighting.  There is no enhancement or editing to the color.

This is again Isabella, she was sitting at the photo booth.  There is artificial lighting, but Carol took this photo standing at a farther distance.

This is again Isabella at the photo booth in the artificial light.   Photo taken by the photographer in a close range.

Isabella is an opal doe.  An opal is a diluted version of chestnut, or it can be described as an agouti version of blue.   It's interesting to see her looking so different on the same day in the same building due to different light conditions.

Cal State Convention Top Winners

The California State Convention was held on Saturday, March 4, 2023.  The photo of the Best In Show and Reserve In Show has become available.   Lauralee Erbe's Mini Satin is the Best In Show and Carol Green's American Fuzzy Lop is the Reserve In Show.   The Best In Show judge is Cole Rupprecht of Minnesota.

There are two shows on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the same location in Tulare but these two shows are not considered as the California State Convention.  No winner information available at this time.

Carol's American Fuzzy Lop is a solid senior buck whose name is Green-Burb Moses.

Dublin Having Fun Modeling

At the Cal State Convention, there is a photo booth set up by photographer Robin Lise-Nielsen of Poultry Photography.   Carol's French Angora Dublin is invited to be a photo model.

Dublin is a curious boy, he is investigating his surroundings.

Dublin wants to be a stand up comedian.

A little sniffing is fun.

Here is a collage of his modeling photos.

Blooming Periwinkle

Periwinkle plants have green leaves with white edges, they look pretty but a bit plain.  With the recent rain and sun, the plants start to bloom with purple flowers.  The flowers certainly make the plant much more attractive.   Enjoy.

Would You Play with Me?

You are so cute, what are you?

You smell good.

Can we play together?

Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you.

Look at the wall, there is a Guinness World Record plaque.

We can work hard together, we can achieve another Guinness World Record!

Carol Goes to the Cal State Convention

Cal State Convention is going on at the new agricultural center in Tulare.

The building is nice and huge, makes the attendance seem sparse.

Carol's American Fuzzy Lop and French Angora are set up at the edge.
The regular Angora group is not in attendance.

Carol's American Fuzzy Lop Green-Burbs Moses.  The handsome boy is the BOB winner on Saturday and goes on to win Reserve In Show.

Carol's French Angora doe Isabella is the BOB winner on Saturday.
