Betty and Scott, 30 Years of Friendship

Whenever Betty and Scott see each other at the convention or at a show, we try to take a picture together.  This is the most recent picture taken during the Angora National banquet at Reno.  Scott is the judge for the Angora National.

This picture was taken in 1988 at the ARBA convention held in Madison, Wisconsin.

Betty's blue doe was the BOB and Scott's white doe was the BOV in the open show at the ARBA convention.  Scott also won the BOB in the youth show with a different doe.   One may notice that the rabbits are very small comparing to today's English Angora.   The main reason is because the blower did not become a grooming tool until the end of 1989 during the ARBA convention at Tulsa, OK.   All the Angoras presented on the show table before November 1989 were groomed by slicker brushes and combs.   It's next to impossible to keep the coat longer than 5 inches.   You may now understand why "5 inches" is the advantage limit for length listed in the SOP.

Betty's New Bunny Mobile

In the mid 1990s, my then rabbit partner Suzanne gifted me this license plate holder, I loved it. Suzanne is no longer in the wonderful world of rabbits but I'm still using this plate holder.

On January 2, 2009, I posted this photo when I moved from my second bunny van to my third bunny van, see
The license plate was taken out of the Chrysler Town and County on the left and installed on the then new Toyota Sienna on the right.

It has been 9-1/2 years since the last bunny van, it's time to get a new model for the safety features and for the creature comfort.     This is my fourth bunny van.   My first two are Chrysler and the 3rd and the current one are both Toyota Sienna.  If you notice that they are both red and I'm also wearing red, it's simple, red is my favorite color. The "Betty's Bunny Mobile" plate holder will be installed on this 2018 van when the DMV sends the new license plate.

The bunnies are not in the van yet, it still has all the seats for human.

The back row seats are in the original condition from the dealer.

As soon as the carriers are ready to go into the new bunny van,  the back seats will be pushed down and the middle seats will either be folded or removed.  Buns will be the main occupants, it's important to create enough space to take them to the shows.

Rusty Westhoff for ARBA Vice President

Rusty has been a judge since 1991 when he was just out of teens, full of experience, full of wisdom and done great in the wonderful world of rabbits.   He is currently the district 6 director.  He is now running for the vice president of ARBA, we would like to give him the full support.

Squirrel Enjoying Loquat

Squirrels are known for liking nuts, but they do enjoy other foods.   Here is a squirrel enjoying a juicy loquat.

There are so many loquat fruits on the tree that the squirrel won't have to worry about food sources.

French Angora HGF Doe On Fire bred and shown by Eric and Gabe won the Best of Best at the WCC overall contest.

Due to the size and the number of the shows involved at WCC, it took quite an effort to collect the Angora results in the all breed shows.   Finally they are posted:

The results of the Angora National and the two NCAG specialty shows were posted in May:
