Will Girls Love a Naked Dasher

Handsome Dasher did well in shows, achieved grand champion status as soon as he reached 6 months old.

Dasher has nice crimp and beautiful chocolate agouti ring pattern.

Another view of the ring pattern.

No matter how pretty the coat is, sooner or later, a hair cut is needed.

A nice body is under all the beautiful wool.

You like my naked back?

How about my profile?

Do you think the girls will find me sexy naked?

My tail is still bushy and fluffy!

Franchesca’s Guinness World Record Still Holds

Scholastic Publishes an annual version of the World Records.  This is the 2022 edition.

On page 146, it's a photo of Franchesca.    The caption says:

"In most people's opinion, the Angora rabbit is the world's fluffiest bunny.  The breed originated in Turkey and is thought to be one of the world's oldest rabbit breeds as well.  It became popular when the French court in the mid-eighteenth century.   Today it is bred for its long, soft, wool, which is shorn in every three to four months.  One of the fluffiest bunnies is buff-colored Franchesca, owned by English Angora rabbit expert Dr. Betty Chu.  In 2014, Franchesca's fur was measured at 14.37 inches, making a world record that is yet to be beaten."

Dyeing for Colors

Angoras are great pets, great show animals and they are also great producers of the most luxuries wool that can be kept in the natural state or dyed into pretty colors.

These three skeins of colorful yarns are dyed on handspun white English Angora yarn.

Here is a closeup of these yarns.

Is Christmas coming?  Not quite.

These two skeins are dyed on handspun tort English Angora yarn.

These two pairs of mittens are made from the pink yarn in the first three photos, and the red yarn from the 4th and 5th photos.

Then there is the purple pair from the purple yarn, pink pair from the pink yarn and the green pair from the green yarn above.   Plus two pairs made from broken chestnut yarn that are not dyed.   Angoras are so versatile, they can fulfill our emotional need to have a loving pet, our competitive need to be in a show and our artistic need of being creative.

What’s in the Carrot?

In addition to the gift basket, judges also received a "carrot".  Judge Uno has 3 extra "carrots" on his table and he is so kind to share with us.

Carolyn and Carol each receives a carrot, they are so curious what are inside the carrots.

Let's solve the mystery.

Inside the carrot are: a hand towel, a bottle of hand sanitizer, a chocolate rabbit, 4 pieces of carrot gummies.   I can tell you that the gummies are yummy.   Thanks Motherlode RCA, thanks Uno.
