Antique Car Display at the Reno ARBA Convention 2022

At the showroom close to the ARBA booth, there is the display of the 2022 convention banner and slogan "Luck Be a Cavy".    Casey says, "Luck Come to Me Please".

Carol likes the antique car displayed, it'd be nice to take it home.

This looks like the 30s gangster car, does Betty look like an appropriate passenger?

Betty rather be a lady!

Pattee likes the antique car too.

Chestnut Giant Angora Presentation at the Reno ARBA Convention

The Angora people are very supportive of each other.  Promptly at 8 am, people carried their chairs, knitting, spinning wheels, ... to the presentation area waiting for the chestnut Giant Angora to be presented.

Eight chestnut Giant Angoras are on the judging coops waiting to be examined by the ARBA Standard Committee.  There are two senior bucks, two senior does, two junior bucks and two junior does.

Kevin and Tammy are the two COD holders, they are nervous of course, Tammy is using knitting to calm her mind.    Deidre and Casey help to chat down their nervousness.

There are 9 judges examining the presentation rabbits in groups of 3.  The first group is led by the chair Briony Smith who is recording the weights of each presentation rabbit.   From left to right are Briony Smith, Bruce Ormsby, Andy High.

Here is a close up of the first group of the Standard committee members.   It is posted that video or sound recording of the process is disallowed.  Photo taking is OK, all these photos are taken by me, Betty.

The second group of the Standard committee members examining the chestnut Giants are Chris Zemny, Alan Rafferty, Erik Bengtson.

The third group examining the chestnut Giants are Tiffany Wayne, Mike Avesing, Rob Frizzell.

Tammy is called into the judges' table to hear comments and the verdict.

As we have learned from yesterday's post that the news was GREAT!!!  The chestnut Giant Angora passes the first showing in flying colors.    Tammy and Kevin put their life on hold to work on this project for the last several years.  Take a look at our previous posts about Tammy and Kevin's work on the chestnut Giant Angora:
