Allen The Goat Judge?

Allen sees two "strange" rabbits on his judging station.

Allen checks the new Standard Of Perfection to see whether this is a new rabbit breed.

Allen strikes a familiar judging posture.

It's all for fun.
These are Allen's Angora goat kids; they are bottle babies that have to be nursed through out the day.

Spin A Horse?

Nice looking spinning fiber, cream at the left and white on the right.

Same kind of spinning fiber, dyed pink and blue.

Sue is the owner of these fiber, what kind of fiber is it?

It is from Sue's Curly Horse! Yes, the fiber is from Sue's horse.

This picture is taken from Wikipedia. Curly horse is also known as Bashkir Curlies, American Bashkir Curlies, and North American Curly Horses, come in all sizes, colors, and body types but all carry a gene for a unique curly coat of hair. The horse is supposed to have the least allergen to people thus some would consider it hypoallergenic.

Sue raises this breed and she had the hair processed into spinnable fiber and she gave some to Betty for sampling. The fiber feels like mohair. Betty has spun rabbit wool, various sheep wool, mohair, cat hair, Samoyed dog hair, Pomeranian dog hair and even Cocker Spaniel dog hair; soon she will add Curly Horse hair to the list of her spinning experiences.

Bye Bye Essex House and New York City

Betty reports,

After returning from Time Square, I put Lilianna, Lucianna and bunnies back to the kennel, gathered grooming supplies and packed my overnight bags to be ready for the 2 pm pick up.

Rabbits and supplies are all on the roller, waiting for the elevator.
Nice pictures on the wall at the Essex House.
Going down to the lobby.
Getting ready to go to the front desk to check out. Bye Bye Essex House.

Our trip did not accomplish the original goal of promoting Amy's full-length film "Rabbit Fever" and showing off the beautiful Lilianna and Lucianna. We did, however, received very nice treats of a fancy hotel, a nice dinner, limousine service to and from the airport, Delta flights, ... all paid for by NBC. We ended up as tourists of the Big Apple. May be we'll be back again for the same venue if NBC reschedules the segment. It is not under any of our control, we'll wait and see.

An Interactive Electronic Board At Time Square

Betty reports,

Time Square is full of neon signs and moving electronic boards. Among all these, there is one electronic board that attracts the most attention from tourists. It is interactive, tourists could see themselves on the huge board.

The people on the electronic board are also the people who are standing in front of it; tourists wave their hands to find themselves on the board.

Amy, Matthew and I are all in the crowd on this board. Can you find us?

Here we are!

Made It To Time Square And Broadway

Betty reports,

I am a homebody, don't like to travel except for rabbit shows and rabbit related activities. This trip was intended to be a network TV appearance of my rabbits to support Amy's Rabbit Fever promotion but it did not happen due to the network coverage of the huge disaster in Japan. Since we were in New York already, might as well take advantage of the opportunity to be the accidental tourists. Thanks to Amy and Matthew's adventurous spirit, we made it to Broadway!

Matthew and Amy at Time Square.

I made it to Broadway.

Oprah is everywhere.

All the neon lights, day and night.

More high-rises and neon signs.

Broadway advertising boards.

Is Arnold still a part owner of Planet Hollywood?

McDonald and the visitor center are next to each other.

Rhianna, hope she is doing better without Chris Brown.

Not sure why M&M is related to Broadway.
