Bill's New Legs

Maureen does dog rescue work.

Bill was a 10 weeks old Bouvier when Maureen took him, and he just kept growing to his present size of 105 pounds. Bill has hip dysplasia and repaired ACL's and he needs to see an acupuncturist nearly every week. (See photo #4).

Recently Bill developed a vertebrae problem making him unable to walk. Life became very difficult for both Maureen and Bill but she does not have the heart to put Bill to sleep. Maureen even hurt her back trying to move Bill's 105-pound body around. Maureen decided to order a custom made doggie wheel chair for Bill at a price of close to $600. The wheel chair arrived yesterday. Maureen says, "They move effortlessly and Bill seems to like them. He isn't a super energetic dog so our walks aren't long, just enough for him to get out and have a change of scenery."

We are all animal lovers, but very few will go as far as Maureen has done.

Bill is lucky to have Maureen as his mama.

That Dumb Cat

Betty says,

"After catching more than 40 animals that included skunks, possums, raccoons, cats, birds, squirrels, chickens, we had stopped setting up the trap for months.

I smelled skunk last night, so I set up the trap again.

In the morning, Albert let our cat Shia Hwa out then left for his golf game. I went out to the rabbit barn about 20 minutes later and heard this whining meow noise. Shia Hwa is a very quiet cat, she seldom meows; for years we thought she was mute. Well, it was her who's meowing; she was in the trap!

I laughed, grabbed my camera and took pictures, then released her.

That dumb cat!"

Maureen Had Good Time at the Show

Armando is quite a handsome boy. He won over the senior buck to be the Best Opposite Sex.

Mama Farrah is trying to make a come back after her maternity leave, but her daughter is winning over her.

Maureen's English Angora are ready to roll; but where is the judge?

Judge Bob Swartz examining Too Sexy.

Judge Bob Swartz is charmed by Armando.

Maureen had fun in the show on Saturday. As expected, her choc tort doe Too Sexy won the Best of Breed. The Best White was a surprise; mama Farrah got beat by her daughter Edie. Farrah is nice, but obviously Edie is even better than her mom. Farrah's son Armando took Best Opposite Sex.

Maureen and hubby John both had a great time at the show.

Betty is A Country Music Fan

Betty says,

"A few days ago, Tausha said to me, 'Betty, I'd never have thought that you'd like country music!'

Not only that I like country music, I am a crazy country music fan. I have many favorites, but the absolute favorite of all is Alan Jackson.

In 1992, Albert bought a tour package for two of us to go to Nashville to participate in the Fan Fair as our anniversary celebration. We got to see Alan in his booth meeting and greeting his fans. See how happy I was in the top picture! The first three pictures were taken in 1992 during the Fan Fair.

Sixteen years and buying all Alan's CDs and going to many of his concerts later, I am still his fan. His newest CD 'Good Time' just came out last week, it is currently at the #1 spot on the Billboard pop and country chart. http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/charts/chart_display.jsp?g=Albums&f=The+Billboard+200 Needless to say that I am delighted to see that. The fourth photo is taken of my copy of this CD.

If others are interested, I'll tell you about my meeting Johnny Cash and other country singers next time."
