Unbearable Cat

Our MA member Chris sends in a newspaper clipping which shows that in West Milford, New Jersey, an orange cat Jack, 15 pounds, sits under a tree with a black bear on top.

People first thought that Jack was just a curious cat watching the bear, then realized that the bear was afraid of the hissing cat.

After Jack's owner called the cat away, the bear climbed down and ran off.

Babies, Babies, Babies

No, it's not bunnies, bunnies, bunnies. It's Panda babies.

Occasionally we use photos found on the net. NCAG ex-president Sandy K. sent in these cute Panda baby photos that she found on the net. They are almost as cute as our bunnies.

Calm Bunny

This morning Betty was grooming the bunnies. Phone rang and she answered, and put the little doe that she's grooming in the family room on top of a rug.

After talking for 10-15 minutes, Betty went back to retrieve the bunny, little white doe was totally calm and relaxed on the rug, as if she owns the place.

More Statues at the Monterey Fairgrounds

A few weeks ago, we posted several pictures of statues at the Monterey Fairgrounds. When we arrived at the Monterey Fairgrounds on Sunday, Karla informed us that there were more interesting statues on the gounds.

We turned Cole and Ashley loose to search for these statues. Here are the pictures they took. They also had fun with the old lady statue.

Judging at Monterey Fair

There were two judges at the Monterey Fair: Randy S. And Doug K., two very tops in the nation. We are talking about national convention level judges.

In addition, there was a "guest", Randy C. from Alaska. Randy C. is a registrar working on his judge's license. It took longer than normal to get a class judged. At the top, from left to right are Randy C., Randy S. and Doug K.

The second photo shows Randy C. examining the English Angora while Randy S. examines Randy C. It's a little confusing, Randy and Randy!

The third photo shows the same with all the exhibitors looking on.

Monterey Fair and NCAG Show

Today is the Monterey Fair day. Monterey is a cool place in the summer, temperature in Monterey seldom goes over 65 degrees. It is no different today, it's fogged in, grayish and very cool.

The fair show was judged by Randy S., ARBA vice president. There is another Randy working with him. Randy C. is from Alaska, working on his judge's license. Casey's beautiful tort doe Molina took Best of Breed. The picture on the left shows Casey and Molina.

Northern California Angora Guild traditionally holds a specialty show with the Monterey Fair. It's no exception today. Doug, French Bulldog Champion Ruby's dad, judges our specialty show. Betty's white doe Chu's Aloha took the Best of Breed and the specialty Best In Show, her picture at the top.
