Carol's Beautiful Watson Spinning Wheel

Carol shows off her new Watson spinning wheel that she received in February.

Carolyn watches Carol spinning on this magnificent wheel.

A close up of Carol spinning on the Watson wheel.   The following photos were sent to Carol prior to the shipping.

The Watson spinning wheel was packed to ship to Carol's home in February 2016.   It's made by James and Andrew Watson in Canada.   All their wheels are custom made, the waiting is LONG.   Their website says 3 years, Carol waited for close to 6 years!

Each wheel is numbered with the owner's name on a plate.

The dual foot pedals have matched wood grain.

The wheel comes with four bobbins.

A close up of the wheel.

The front of the wheel.

The back of the wheel.

The wheel not only spins like a dream, it is also a work of art.

Crystal Gayle Concert at Alameda Fair

Crystal Gayle has a performance at the Alameda Fair on July 3.

Betty and Allen usually go to one concert at the Alameda Fair each year but this year the line-up is so good that we go to two of them: LeAnn Rimes on June 26 and Crystal Gayle on July 3.

Crystal Gayle has been in the business for over 45 years, she is well-known for her great voice and ...

...her long hair that is all the way to her ankle.   See the humorous post Allen made on his Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/amesick/posts/10100843103331271

Crystal Gayle and Jay Patten sing a duet.

Another shot of Crystal Gayle singing with Jay Patten.

Crystal Gayle singing with Peggy Sue.

Peggy Sue is Crystal Gayle's older sister and Loretta Lynn's younger sister, she had a solo career in the 60s and 70s but now mostly tour with her sisters.    Peggy Sue is also the songwriter of Loretta Lynn's tune  "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind)".

Loving sister act.

Crystal Gayle sings her signature song: "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue".

Crystal Gayle thanks the audience.

It was a good show.
