Hi, I am Augustina.

I am Sevenelle's sister.

You like Sevenelle better or me better?

We love each other but we are also competitive.

Sevenelle Grows

Sevenelle gets her name from her ear tattoo BC7EL.

Sevenelle is still a young junior but she is started to stand out among her sister and cousins.

Even she is quite young, her texture is developing very well.    Silky, easy care, crimp and dense.

The overall development is on schedule.

A little girl with green background.

Or is it better with a background of red leaves in the fall?

Carol Returns Come

Carol has a very successful and rewarding time at Louisville.   She gets to visit her mom in Southern Indiana where she is originally from.   Carol's hometown is less than 40 miles from Louisville.

Nate and Carol receive visits from Sherry and Gary Hartzell.    Sherry and Gary are Brian Hartzell's parents.    For those who are newer, Brian was the guru of American Fuzzy Lop and Jersey Wooly, he was the person who successfully presented the broken Jersey Wooley over 10 years ago.   Brian was also the inspiration of starting this blog in 2005 when he and Sherry came to visit Carol in 2005.   See:
Northern California Angora Guild: NCAG Activities

Unfortunately in 2009 Brian passed away at 31 years old of an undiagnosed heart issue, see:
Northern California Angora Guild: Brian Hartzell Remembered (ncag.blogspot.com)

It's so good to see Sherry and Gary well and still remember their rabbit friends and family.

All Nate's and Carol's rabbits are neatly loaded into the rented full size van at Louisville to get ready to drive to Utah.

Carol loaded all her stuff at Utah and ready to drive home to California.  She arrived home safely on Saturday night.     Convention next year will be much less complicated, it's at Reno.

Broken English Angora Presentation Ends

On Tuesday morning, many gathered together to help get the Broken English Angora ready for presentation.

It's the time to load the presentation rabbits to the table.

Debbie working.

Lynn and Nichole working together in getting the rabbits into the judging coops.

Nichole putting rabbits in the judging coop.

The Standard Committee.

Not an outcome expected or wished.   The presentation did not pass.  Why?  Not clear, there was no disqualification, no specific fault, just that they did not like the texture or ???   Those involved are still trying to get more information.   As of now this COD has ended as this is the second try of the second showing, unless a "miracle" happens.

A Very Green Halloween

Dasher is with the green Halloween pumpkin!

Dasher says that you better believe it, rabbits like greens.

The green pumpkin is called "winter melon"!

Sevenelle says that she's a bit scared...

What is it?

Dasher told me that it's a green pumpkin and that I don't have be scared.

A carved winter melon is as good as a carved  pumpkin, it's GREEN!
