Gathering of 'Legends'

There is a gathering at the lobby of the headquarter hotel in the evening of the opening day, Saturday October 31, 2015.

What is it all about?

Everyone in this photo is a convention Best In Show winner.    Doug Harrah (in red tie) starts the tradition of the convention Best In Show winners to gather at the evening of the opening day.   He gives a name for this event: "Gathering of Legends".

Doug Harrah on the right is the Best In Show winner of the 2013 convention at Harrisburg, Brad and Katie Boyce are the 2002 convention Best In Show winner.   Both Doug and Brad grew up in Indiana and joined the same 4 H club but during a different time period.

Fast Forward to Monday, November 2, 2015, Brad and Katie Boyce win Best In Show again in this convention at Portland.

Betty is here with Jim Bayliss.  It's a reunion of a sort: in 1992 Betty's English Angora won 4-class and Jim's Satin won 6-class, then Betty's English Angora went on to win the Best In Show in the 1992 convention at Columbus, OH.

One year later, Jim's Satin won 6-class again and went on to win the Best In Show in at the 1993 Tacoma convention in WA.

Activities after the Opening Ceremony

Allen is sitting at a desk with a computer, he is not at the opening ceremony.  What's he doing?

Allen is in charge of the RabbitCon,  Kate is also working at the RabbitCon entrance.  Behind Allen and Kate, there is one of the RabbitCon classrooms.

At the youth building, there are youth and their parents waiting anxiously for the youth competition to start.

The pink Indiana team is making the final preparation before going into the competition.

While the youth and their families are waiting for their competition, the art exhibit area is quite empty.

Most of the art displays are made by the ARBA youth members.

There are many talented rabbit breeders.

All art creations are required to have either rabbit or cavy in the pictures.

Some more youth drawings and paintings.
