Nancy Inducted into Hall Of Fame at the JW Club

Nancy started raising Jersey Wooly not long after the breed was recognized, almost 30 years to the date.
About 6 months ago, she decided to retire from rabbit breeding and showing.  Angel represents the national JW club to induct Nancy into the Hall of Fame.

A close up of the plaque presented to Nancy.

Randy takes photo of Angel presenting the plaque to Nancy.

Randy chats with Nancy about her post-rabbit life.  Nancy is now very much involved in helping the service dog organization.

Charlie Comes to Visit

We don't see Charlie often since he stopped showing.  It was a pleasant surprise when he shows up around noon time to join the potluck party with his famous chocolate chip cookies.    When Charlie and Carol W are chatting, Melodye comes by to say hello.

We got to take a picture together!

While Charlie is having a great time visiting old friends, Melodye is having an excellent time.  Her shaded Jersey Wooly wins BOB in all three specialty shows!  You sure can see her in happy mood.

The Show is Hot Hot Hot

Carol G.'s annual backyard show is here, it's the hottest venue of the summer that everyone looks forward to.   Weather wise, the western region of the US is experiencing a heat wave, most places are in the triple digits.   Even though Portola Valley is relatively cooler than other places, it is still in the high 90s and low 100s.

Randy, Brock and our host Carol are at the poolside during a break.

Lena is playing with Juliette, the young ladies are more interested in the pool than their rabbits on the table.  Wait, they don't have to worry too much because one of the judges is also in the pool.

Justin is having a good time, swimming after judging is over.

Melissa even join the kids in the pool during a judging break.
