When English Angora judging is done, the French Angora exhibitors are waiting to put their rabbits on judge Misty's table.

On the table is the French Angora colored senior buck.  Carol helps to record comments.

The number of French Angora and English Angora is the same but there are more exhibitors.

From the other side of the table.

Dinah and Linnea, Carolyn and her grandson are all listening carefully to what judge Misty says.

Judge Misty thinks this little junior is a cutie.

Show A English Angora Judging at Petaluma

Misty is our show A judge.  Angoras were called to her table around 10 am.

The first breed for judge Misty is the English Angora.  By tradition, white senior buck class is the first on the table.

After the white buck class, it's the white doe class.

The coops seem to be too small for the English Angora!

Casey is the clerk for judge Misty.

Most of the English Angora on the table are seniors but here is a little black buck.

Judge Misty likes the colored senior buck.

The colored senior doe is usually the one to beat.

The colored senior doe class winner goes on to win the BOB and at the end of the day, also goes on to win the Best In Show in show A.

Happy Exhibitors at Petaluma

There are 50 Angoras entered at Petaluma, we have not seen such a good number for a while. Knowing that this is the only all breed show during the summer, we all put in more than normal to support the show.

Mother Dinah and daughter Linnea are having a bonding day showing French Angora.  The pretty chestnut youngster is a home bred.

Carolyn, Stephanie and Dinah have a great time at the French Angora table.

Dinah, Linnea and Carol having chit chat, Carol is enjoying the shave ice.

Betty and Gabe visit each other.   Gabe is well-known for his high skill in grooming French Angora.

Betty should ask Gabe to come help grooming Monique.   French Angora in general are not as easy to handle as the English Angora.

Casey and Louis saying Long Time No See since Louis moved back to Florida.

Leslie is holding her little English Angora black buck that she recently purchased out of state.

Leslie is showing the black junior for the first time, nervously waiting for comments.

Betty runs into her "son" Joe who flew in from Oregon to show his Mini Rex.  When this picture was taken, neither knew that we would be the main/mean competitors on the Best In Show table.  Our two breeds turn out to be the Best In Show and Reserve In Show winners in all three shows.

Good Morning, Petaluma

Bright and early, Carolyn, Casey and Betty line up to groom their rabbits.

Carolyn and Casey have their buns on the grooming table while Carol and Betty are working on their rabbits' underside.

Taking a break, Carol, Betty and Casey at the grooming area.

Happy exhibitors taking their rabbits to the judging tables.

In the past the enclosed buildings were more desirable but since the human and rabbit viruses hit, these open barns are considered as a safer venue.

Exhibitors loading judge Cathy's table.

See who's baaaaack!

Hi, it's Gabe!   Gabe is back from the east, now at home in Bakersfield and working in Fresno.   He’s back to his weekend job working at the KW booth.   Welcome back, Gabe.

Carol's Barn Cats on Duty

Carol has adopted two barn patrol officers in January, see:

Smokey liked to aim high when he was a kitten.  Now a young adult, he still likes to air high.

Bandit was quite grounded as a kitten, he is still a homeboy, likes to stay in his comfy condo.
