Carol's Three Beautiful Sweaters

Carol is very productive in knitting during the shelter-in-place.  We have seen this Merino wool sweater when it was in progress, this is the one that Boo had helped in putting in some doggie touch, see https://ncag.blogspot.com/2020/05/who-loves-yarn.html

This sweater is made from 100% French Angora chocolate agouti yarn.  Carol spun and knitted this sweater from start to finish.

This sweater looks like handspun bulky Angora sweater but it is not.  The chocolate part is Merino wool and the pink part is fiber strips that are used to accent the sweater.    The two type of yarn came as a kit.

Carolyn's Angora Vest

The get together is a good chance to share some of the recent creations.  Carolyn shows the new Angora vest she has just completed.

The Angora vest is made of two ply 100% English Angora yarn.

The yarn is made from tort English Angora.  Tort has different shades of beige on the rabbit, and the vest shows the shades.

Carol's White French Angora Litter

Carol has a new litter of French Angora, three does and two bucks.

In the animal world, does are always more valued.   The human world should be the same but unfortunately sometimes not.

The three does are put on the grooming table.

Carol and Betty do the socially distant evaluation of the white does.

Carolyn is coming over to take pictures.

Socially Distant Getting Together

Each year the wool people look forward to Carol's summer show at her beautiful estate.   With the Covid 19, all shows are cancelled including the annual summer party show.    Five of us figured a way to have a socially distant get together to exchange ideas and bunnies.    Carolyn takes this picture, from left to right are host Carol, Betty, Casey and Pattee.   We make sure that there are enough distance from each other to observe the rule.  And all of us are wearing facial coverings.   This is the first time in three months that we have seen each other, and this is the first time ever that we see each other in these "half face" looks.

Betty takes this picture of Pattee, Casey, Carol and Carolyn chatting about rabbits.

Carol stepped away to her rabbit barn, Casey, Pattee and Carolyn chatting, Betty takes the picture.

Though this is an unfamiliar way of socializing, it's still fun.   With shelter-in-place, most of us had not gone out of our homes for three months.  We all miss our friends, rabbits, shows, …  Even though this is a mini get together, it fills some degree of needs to be with friends.   We all look forward to the day that the shows will come back and that we could show and laugh and hug and ...

Breed Like Rabbits

All the jokes about breeding like rabbits, here is a raunchy T-shirt design.

And a raunchy coffee mug.

I'd wear this Swatch to shock people.

Here is a closeup of the Swatch design.

Most breeds of rabbits breed like rabbits as shown in these raunchy merchandise.  However, the English Angora is an exception to the rule.  Most bucks are perfect gentlemen and most of the does are ice princesses.  It takes some effort for them to practice their craft.  Maybe we should show them these images before planning for them to have their dates.

Rabbit and Human Love Loquats

Fawnalisa eats her loquat.

Rayna wolfs down a piece of loquat in a few seconds.

Uptown Girl likes loquat too.

A cut down Indigo Girl enjoys her share of loquat.

Guess who gets this piece?

Mmmmm…. tastes good.

Another bite shows the big pits.   Throw these pits into the soil, you'll get loquat trees too.
