Handspinners' Group At the Nevada State Fair



At the Nevada State Fair, the spinners have a big tent set up just outside the rabbit building. They put on a very nice display; some of the work are very detailed and fine. Here are some photos to share.

Jack Bailey At The New York State Fair



























Angora is one of the major attractions at the New York State Fair. Jack Bailey of New York and wife Karin demo wool harvesting at the rabbit barn and showing off garments made from Angora.

Jersey Wooly Best Of Breed





In addition to doing very well in American Fuzzy Lop, Arian and Des are very serious about their Jersey Wooly project. They won Best Of Breed in both show A and B with this tort senior buck at the Nevada State Fair; the buck has very good type and the wool shows good texture.

On Saturday Nevada State Fair held a single rabbit show, Jennifer is the judge.



Chris won Best In Show with his Mini Lop in the show.

Nevada State Fair Judging On Sunday




Nevada State fair has been renamed as the "Wild West Fair" in 2010. On Sunday, Allen and Randy are the two judges for the double rabbit shows.


Allen is working at the table on the right side and Randy at the table at the top of the photo. The table to the left are all the volunteer workers.

Valencia Wins Double Best In Show




Valencia in the sun.



Nevada State Fair holds double all breed open shows on Sunday; in show A judge Allen picks Betty's English Angora choc tort doe Chu's Valencia as Best In Show. Reserve In Show is the beautiful white Satin doe bred by Mike and Dolores. This doe is the daughter of their famous BIS winner "Bar-B-Q".


In the all breed show B, judge Randy picks the same two breeds as the top two rabbits. Valencia wins Best In Show and a white Satin shown by Ray is the Reserve In Show. Ray has already left the showroom when the final judging was doe, so judge Randy is holding the Reserve In Show winner.

Art In The Park At Worcester, MA





In the same park in Worcester, MA where the Saori banners were installed, there is also a display of various art projects. Among them the most interesting one is the "Jelly Fish".




A closer look of the "Jelly Fish" display. They are made from transparent vinyl umbrellas and recycled material. The display symbolize "Balance".
