It’s Jordan’s Graduation Day

It's Jordan Miner!  He sure looks different today, no animal fur or wool all over him as in rabbit and cavy shows.    Today is a special day, it's the day Jordan receives his Master of Arts degree in International Studies.  His thesis focuses on "Tracking Renewable Projects in Central America".

It's hard to believe how fast time flies.   I met Jordan when he was still in grade school, he was an active youth rabbit rabbit breeder.   Now he is a rabbit judge, a cavy judge, received his bacholar's degree from UC Berkeley, today he receives his master's degree from University of San Francisco.

Congratulations, Jordan.  What a harder worker, what a list of accomplishments.

Guess what, we will be seeing him tomorrow at the Santa Clara Fair Rabbit and Cavy Shows, make sure to go give him a thumbs up.

Vaccination Time Again

Medgene is US made vaccine against RHDV.  It requires two shots 3-5 weeks apart the first year then annual booster.

My 8 juniors had taken the first shots 5 weeks prior, now scheduled for their second shots. There are also 4 more younger buns taking their first shots.   The Kittel Family practice is very friendly, their pretty vet tech meets me at my van to get my buns.

I also brought my friend Shyun's two Fuzzy Lops to get their shots.  John is the receptionist of the office, he comes to help carry the two fuzzies.

The office had a busy day, there were cats and dogs coming in and out. After quite a long wait, my buns are finally wheeled out.

Buns are very happy to be going home.   The 4 youngest ones will be going for their second shots in 3-5 weeks.   It will be another 7-hour trip for their mama Betty.

Viviana Enjoys an Outing

Viviana had a great show day at Merced winning two open Best In Show.

Mama Carol does a photo session to preserve her beauty.

It's a nice cool but sunny day with a bit of wind.  A perfect day for a photo shot.

Viviana is a good model, poses well.

To reward Viviana's good behavior, she gets to run on the lawn.

It's so much fun to be running free on the lawn.

With her full show coat, running out of the lawn area could cause damage to the show coat.  It's not easy to be a beauty queen, Viviana's roaming time is over.

Friends Having Fun at Merced

Though Stephanie Berry no longer shows rabbits, she still goes to shows to visit friends.   She now raises and shows Shih Tsu.

Bri is fairly new in French Angora though she has experience in cavy.  She is enjoying the breed.

Carol diligently grooms her beautiful French Angora doe Viviana; her effort is rewarded with two open Best In Show wins.
