Simone Gets Another Haircut

Simone was born in January 2020, she is now 3-3/4 years old.  She has had tons of wins including all breed Best In Show, she also has many haircuts and two sons and a daughter.     This photo was taken a few days after the Merced show.

This is another photo of Simone taken the same day, just minutes before the next haircut.

Without any show in the next month and a half, it's time for another haircut.

Even though the first cut is hard, after so many times of cutting and regrowing, haircut for Simone seems to be a routine.

Simone is producing a nice wool fall.

The major part of the wool are taken off Simone, she gets a handspun handknit sweater for the night.  The rest of the wool cut will be completed in a few days.

Mid Autum Festival 2023

Today is the lunar calendar Mid Autumn Festival.  It's one of the major festivals in Asia, analogous to the Thanksgiving in the US.   It's the fall harvest time and families celebrate together by feasting on good food.   This festival is sometimes referred to as the Harvest Moon Festival or Autumn Moon Festival.   It is the only Asian festival that involves a rabbit!   See:
Northern California Angora Guild: The Jade Rabbit (ncag.blogspot.com)

The image of beautiful Churn-O carrying the Jade Rabbit is used in many mediums.

These are the moon cakes associated with the Mid Autumn Festival.

Betty Grooming Her White English Angora

A nice white English Angora.

It's very nice of Bri who takes several photos of Betty grooming her white English Angora.

Though Betty grooms grooms and grooms in shows, there's not many photos of her grooming as she is usually the photographer.

On the right corner of the photo, some of Betty's Angora creations peek out from the cloud of white wool.

White bun says thanks to Bri of taking these nice photos.
