Handsome White Buck Jason

Bucks seldom get the chance to be included in our blog posts because most of the winners of Best In Show and Reserve In Show are does.

We are sharing a picture of Chu's Jason, a handsome white buck that won the white senior buck class then went on to win the Best Opposite White at the ARBA convention last month.   Jason is still in shows and still winning.

Fancy Napkin

At the banquet of National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club at Wichita, in addition to good food, good company and fun time, Margaret did a great job in making the event special.  Instead of the usual paper napkins in most events, Margaret used cloth napkins with the 2012 Angora logo in the ARBA convention.

Margaret sure makes everyone feel very welcome, thanks for an excellent job.

Little girl wants to kiss the French Angora doe HGF Dee; her grand parents Larry and Nancy had just won the Best In Show in show A with their Holland Lop at Zanesville, OH.

HGF Dee sitting pretty by herself at the show, she took second place to HGF Tiara in the competition.
HGF Dee is a sable French Angora doe bred and owned by Eric.

HGF Tiara Wins Double All Breed Reserve In Show

At Zanesville, OH, Eric's French Angora HGF Tiara wins Reserve In Show in show A on Sunday.   You may find the two human familiar: our judge Allen is everywhere, he is judging in OH on Nov. 24 and 25.   Eric is hard to recognize as we usually see him in shirt and tie behind the judging table but on Sunday he is in his "exhibitor's attire" when he is not judging.

In show B, HGF Tiara wins Reserve In Show again with judge Rusty being the Best In Show judge.

HGF Tiara is the littermate sister to Eric's convention colored junior doe class winner HGF Meara.

Designer Sweaters? Designer Mittens?

Where are the sweaters?  There isn't any sweater in the photos, or may be there are some.

Yes, there are sweaters from 3 name brands, J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Ann Taylor, in these photos.    The sweaters are now in the pair of mittens that Maureen made.   These are called the upcycled mittens by feling sweaters that are made from natural fiber such as sheep wool, Angora, mohair, ...   When you find some old sweaters that you are tired of wearing or look old, put them in the washer in hot water to felt them then cut into the things that you want to make such as purse, hat, mittens, ... The old sweaters got a new lease on life, thus "upcycled".

The Gorilla Wants to be a Bunny

We have seen dogs, cats, even a lion putting on bunny ears during the Easter Time.   Halloween is usually not a time to see any animal pretending to be a bunny.   Well, here is one, a Gorilla puts on a bunny mask by photo magic.

Miss Eve Goes to Ohio

Eve is an itsy bitsy little French Angora bunny with her sisters and brother.  She is the very middle one.

She grows into a pretty little missy, winning the Best of Breed at an all breed show over the big boys and big girls when she was 11 weeks old.

Miss Eve is very curious.

Miss Eve took a 26-hour road trip from California to the ARBA convention at Wichita, sitting in a little coop waiting for her next road trip to Ohio that took 10 hours.

Adoptive mom Maureen likes Miss Eve, they are going to a rabbit show.

Miss Eve thinks the Ohio judging coops are interesting, very different from the wire coops in California.

This judging is reading the ear number of the second place French Angora colored junior doe.

That means Miss Eve is the first place colored junior doe; then Miss Eve got better and better comments and got to be the Best Opposite Sex of the breed at 15 weeks old over all the big girls.
