Open Best In Show Judging at Monterey




In open show A, judge Joe goes over the 30+ Best of Breed rabbits on the table.


In open show B, judge Ray has L-shaped tables holding the Best of Breed rabbits.




In open show C, judge Armando still has almost the same number of the Best of Breed rabbits on the table as in show A.

It's Grooming Time





At the CRCS shows in Monterey, Betty is grooming Zeeva who is carrying the 15th month coat.   Zeeva won the Best of Breed in show B then went on to win Reserve In Show.


Casey is grooming her fawn senior doe Casey's Shauna who won the Best of Breed in CRCS show A.   This is a half sister of Zeeva on the father side.    Shauna is carrying a 12-month coat.

Three different colored does won Best of Breed in three shows, show C winner is Chu's Leeza who is 9 months old, the youngest of the three.   All three pretty girls are daughters of Chu's Maddex with different mothers.




Leeza won the Best of Breed in show C and went on to win Best In Show in show C.

Youth Top Winners at Monterey



Judge Carol G. selects Catie's Netherland Dwarf as youth Best In Show in show A.



Ben's Californian wins youth Best In Show in CRCS show B at Monterey.  Judge Scott makes the selection.



Judge Scott picks Cruz's Holland Lop as the youth Reserve In Show in show B.



In show C, judge Justin awards the youth Best In Show to Greyson's broken Havana and youth Reserve In Show to Ben's broken Mini Lop.

Open Top Winners at Monterey





In the CRCS show A, judge Joe awards the Best In Show to the chestnut agouti Jersey Wooly shown by Timmy and Danielle (not shown).



Keolyn's Mini Rex wins the Reserve In Show in show A under judge Joe.




In show B, judge Ray selects Julie's Havana as the Best In Show and Betty's English Angora fawn doe as  the Reserve In Show.




Judge Armando picks Betty's English Angora tort doe as the Best In Show and Timmy's Jersey Wooly as the Reserve In Show.    The second reserve is the American Fuzzy Lop.  Judge Armando comments, "I can't believe it but the three best rabbits on my list are all wool breeds".      This is a good day for the wool rabbits.

Leeza Wins Her First All Breed Best In Show






Chu's Leeza is a English Angora tort senior doe who is relatively young.   This is her first all breed Best In Show and hope to have many more.

Zeeva Wins All Breed Reserve In Show At Monterey






Zeeva wins Reserve In Show in the California Rabbit and Cavy Shows show B in Monterey, CA.




 

Judge Ray picks Julie's Havana Best In Show and Reserve In Show goes to Zeeva, Betty's English Angora.

While the valley is in the 100 degree temperature, Monterey is having temperature in the 50s to 60s with fog and drizzle.   Even when the sun has come out exhibitors are still bundled in sweat shirts.
