Early Halloween Celebration

The dates of the ARBA convention are October 26 to October 30. For those who are driving, the Halloween is spent on the road.

Kevin, Jennifer and Autumn, owners of KW cages will be driving a large truck from their home base of Santee, CA to and from Louisville, KY. In addition to showing rabbits, doing their booth, they are also a part of the crew that will set up and tear down the coops.

They decided to celebrate their Halloween early.

They wish all our readers a happy Halloween and we wish them a safe trip and successful booth business.

Handsome Stewart

In January, photos of the birth of Sevenah's first litter was posted on http://ncag.blogspot.com/2008/01/may-i-have-some-privacy-please.html
Four months later, photos of Chu's Stewart and his littermates were posted on our blog: http://ncag.blogspot.com/2008/05/five-little-sevenah.html
He is the little cute boy on the right side.

Another four months passed, Stewart has grown into a very handsome gentleman. He has great type and wool, plus a terrific personality. He does well on the show table; needless to say that he is a Grand Champion many times over.

Little Groomers And Big Blower

Papa Curt gives the girls a grooming lecture.

Big sister Dominique handles the big hose while Papa Curt watches.

Dominique wrangles the hose.

Dominique gets a good handle of blowing her French Angora.

Little sister Elsa blows her French Angora while battling the natural wind.

Elsa shoots the blower hose toward her French Angora.

Is it the natural wind or the blower that blows the rabbit and Elsa's hair?

Sisters Dominique and Elsa are doing very well in shows. They kick butts on some of their bigger and older competitors. From these pictures, we can see the reason: they are very serious groomers.

Easy Hats

Maureen sends a picture of three hats made by her friend Annette who is a novice knitter.

The hats are made mostly from Angora but Annette also used up some wool she had in her yarn stash.

These are good examples of using leftover yarns from other projects and make something beautiful and useful. Annette did a wonderful job; she is definitely graduating from a novice knitter to the next level very quickly.

Pretty Llama Babies

There was a Llama show at the fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. A couple was walking two babies; they are big babies especially from a rabbit breeder's view.

The pattern of brown and white spot baby is very unusual, it almost seems unreal. From a spinner's view, a solid Llama probably is more realistic for spinning but that spot baby is sure pretty.

Cody could not wait for this weekend's show to win youth Best In Show again; he made it in show B, another youth Best In Show.

It's another good show day for Cody.
