Making Fingerless Mittens for Alice

I started knitting a pair of fingerless mittens recently.

Got the pair done, they are specially designed for Alice.

My friend Alice Wu is visiting from Asia, Alice has extended family members including, son, daughter-in-law, grandkids, sisters, in-laws in the bay area.   We went to high school and college together, Alice and I are the longest lasting and most enduring friends in both of our lives.  We know everything about each other since we were teenagers.

Alice likes the mittens.   The color combination is designed to match the scarf that is also made by me. They are made from different yarns but the colors are in the same group.

Deva is Perfect

Deva is Casey's favorite Satin Angora doe.   She is a big winner in shows, one of her major achievement is winning the Best In Show at the WCC open all breed show.

After a few tries, Deva has a litter of 5 healthy babies.

Deva and babies in her condo.

Deva is such a good mom, she not only raises her own five, she also takes care of the English Angora babies.  In the photo is one of the white English Angora babies.

The two English Angora babies are white, easy to distinguish from Deva's own but Deva nurses them just the same.

Stephanie Comes to Visit

Stephanie Berry had shown Satin Angora, English Angora and Lionhead in the past.   Though she no longer has rabbits, she still loves her rabbit friends and the atmosphere of the friendliness in the rabbit shows.  She visited at the Solano RBA show at Vallejo and had a great time, so she is visiting again at the Big Valley RA show at Turlock.      Come back to visit in all shows, Stephanie, you are very welcome.   In the photo are Stephanie, Betty and Carolyn Silvas.   Thanks to Pattee for taking this photo.
